Hey folks, we hope you all had a FABULOUS weekend full of friends, family, relaxation, and much joy! Now that the crushing work week is upon us once again, your Four Favorite Angry Uncles are here to provide much needed distractions and (hopefully) some laughs! We've got a packed week of shows in the WHMu to tell you about, so let's get to it!

First up, tomorrow on WHM we welcome back our dear friend, Angelica Jade Bastién to help us tackle one of the most forgettable (and forgotten by the zeitgeist, tbh) Will Smith blockbusters, I, Robot! Most of us hadn't seen the film in 20 years and it was a real yawn-inducing experience to say the least. But hey, that new Bad Boys movie is good! Anywho, you can check this one out AD-FREE here on Patreon at the $8 level and up!

Then on Thursday, things are really heating up AND going nuts on MELR0210! We've got the Beverly Hills, 90210 episode, "Destiny Rides Again," where Brenda starts considering getting involved with Rick, Steve Sanders swindles a nerd into changing his grades, and Andrea gets (hilariously, sorry) hit by a car. It's a wild-ass ep that was neck-in-neck in the Crazy Department with this month's Melrose Place, "Psycho-Therapy," where Alison kind of unknowingly starts being wooed by her therapist, meanwhile Amanda convinces Jo to help her stage the imprisonment and light torture of her former handyman, Ted. The ep also has an incredibly famous black-out moment that we won't spoil here in case anyone is still wanting to check it out. Both eps are total doozies, so it made for a truly magnificent bit of podcasting. And you can hear it here on Patreon, exclusively at the Top Tier $10 Walsh level!

And then finally, on Friday we're dropping our latest syncable commentary, a track of us talking over Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It's the fourth film based on the book of the same name written by famed, billionaire bigot, J.K. Rowling. This is the second-longest Potter film and it's certainly the one with the absolute worst haircuts on these kids, yikes! It's also got R Pats in a one-and-done role and it's weird looking back at this film nearly 20 years later, with knowledge of where R Pats and Radcliffe's careers have taken them, and then watch these two kid-age actors play off one another in scenes. Anywho, it's another great Potter commentary that we had a blast doing, and it'll be available exclusively here on Patreon at the $8 level & up!

And kudos again to Felipe on his great cover for the new commentary track. Fantastic as always, friend!

That's all that's fit to pod this week, gang! If we don't see you a little later on today for On-Screen Live, have a great week, and thank you all for continuing to be the kick-ass Patreon supporters that you are!

Take it easy,
Andrew, Chris, Eric & Steve

Thank you, my uncles, for providing me with my new Patreon avatar.

John Edwards

I actually had no clue I, Robot was a Proyas joint until you mentioned it in the Dick Tracy episode. I think I watched Dark City back in the day, assumed he was an auteur with a signature moody style, and never bothered looking up his filmography after.

The guy just functions much better with practical, tangible filmmaking. Keep him away from CGI nightmares like this, Gods of Egypt, etc. - Andrew

Ed Harris

All I remember about I, Robot is that it was fine, nowhere near as bad as people said it was but also decidedly 'meh'. Looking forward to the ep as always.

Francesca Gravatt

Y'all are getting to a great stretch of 90210 eps, really looking forward to the next few months. Really amazing that Ahhhndrea's shoulder-padded blazer didn't do diddly dick to protect her from that car 😅

Smaug

Cans. There was no robot, it was full of cans

Convincing John

It has Alan Tudyk in probably one of his biggest roles so I can't hate it completely!

Sarah Montgomery

"Sure sure. Dystopian future, robots attacking humans, black leather. I can do a Matrix too, Marc!!!"

Britt W

I,robot is my 8 year old’s favorite movie lol. Children are so easily pleased

Did you watch the Dark City director’s cut? I think it improves an already great film. No dumb narration.

After that accident scene I had to check to see if Neil Breen directed this episode.

Andrea! I CAN'T believe you got hit by a car! I CANNOT believe you got hit by a car.
