Okay, I know some of you are thinking: why bother doing a box office poll this week considering the real DEARTH of new and interesting titles being released? To that I say, yeah, you're probably not wrong. But, hey! It's been a minute since we had a box office poll on here, so let's make the best of a shitty situation.

Now, films like The Garfield Movie and Furiosa will still be drawing folks, in fact, some of these new titles are having trouble even getting screen space because of all the holdovers from what was, let's face it, an irresponsibly packed May. So, we've got a real easy one this week: will any of these new titles chart in the Top 10? Here are the three options:

Young Woman and the Sea (Disney) - If you're like, "what is this," well, you're not alone. It's a movie where Daisy Ridley plays Trudy Ederle, the first woman to swim across the English Channel. I haven't seen a single thing about this movie anywhere, no TV spots, no trailer placement in theaters, not even any online ad buys. I'm not even sure why Disney is bothering to release this theatrically, but hey, I guess I'm glad they are. It was directed by Joachim Rønning who also directed Kon-Tiki in 2012 and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in 2017, so he knows a thing or two about movies taking place on water, I suppose...

Summer Camp (Roadside Attractions) - Ah, Roadside Attractions, second only to Bleecker Street Films as far as almost exclusively releasing films for old people, and Castille Landon's Summer Camp doesn't appear to buck that trend at all. Three lifelong friends (Kathy Bates, Diane Keaton and Alfred Woodard), who all went to summer camp a bunch as kids, decide to reunite and go to camp once again in their golden years for, reasons. Sounds... great. Again, this is another one where I've seen jack-shit about it in the lead-up to release, so who knows?

And finally:

In a Violent Nature (IFC Films) - Now, this one I know doesn't even belong here, but I'm really pumped for this movie to come out and I figured why not put it here to plug it to all of you fine folks in case you haven't heard of it yet?! We watched the coming attraction during Trailer Segment on OSL some weeks back; it's the film that's basically a Friday the 13th-type slasher where the entire movie takes place from the perspective of the monstrous, Jason Voorhees-in-Part-II-looking mass murderer. It's receiving an incredibly limited theatrical release (it's bound for Shudder later this year), so it's guaranteed not to make a splash, but seriously, check it out if it's playing near you, which it likely will not be!

Okay, so those are the three films begging for anyone to notice they even exist— will any of them crack the Top 10? Vote below by choosing any (or all) of the three films, multiple choices are an option this week, gang! What do you think's gonna hit?

Have a great weekend, everybody, watch something good! - Andrew

I'm going round two with Furiosa this weekend.

i'm just hoping In a Violent Nature does well. Seeing it tonight, and hyped, being a big Friday/Jason fan

Alex Murica

Going to see Furiosa with my folks this weekend, since sadly they're not screening In A Violent Nature here.

Leesha Olivier

I have been looking forward to In A Violent Nature since I saw the trailer during Abigail. I hope horror fans come out.

Derek Detzler

In a Violent Nature was AMAZING. I felt like the movie was tailor made for me

Going to see In a Violent Nature tonight, extremely stoked Furiosa was amazing!

heath davis

Going to see Furiosa tomorrow

I'm curious about Summer Camp, if only because Eugene Levy is playing what the kids call a "zaddy." EUGENE LEVY HAS BLOSSOMED, PEOPLE.

I've been seeing spots for YWatS on some social media. But really only there. Not like it'd be the first time Disney just decided to bury something and hope no one noticed. That said, seeing In a Violent Nature on Saturday, so my vote is somewhere between that and 'Go see Furiosa again'

Mark Bisi

All of these movies can S my D. I’m going to see Furiosa again.

I hope everyone is prepared for when the big orange monstrosity wins, by which of course I mean Garfield

I saw Young Woman and the Sea last weekend and it's really quite charming, if definitely Disney-fied. Stephen Graham plays a lovable scamp and not a psycho! That's reason enough to see it! This weekend I'm hitting up Furiosa (viewing #2) and In a Violent Nature, and I'd like to fit in The Dead Don't Hurt if I can -- Vicky Krieps and Viggo Mortensen, that's a pretty good combo.

Johnny Pomatto

Really enjoyed IN A VIOLENT NATURE and kind of surprised that people are criticizing it for its bland and stupid stock characters that you'd find in any old "Friday the 13th" sequel because it felt very intentional to me that the victims here were dumb for the sake of satirizing the genre. At least here they're relegated to the background and you get to skip most of the plot-driving dialogue scenes with them. I'm not sure how many screens it's on this weekend, but I wouldn't count it out from being low in the Top 10 rankings. I feel like some of these niche horror titles that must be sought out by fans ("Terrifier 2," "Late Night With The Devil") tend to attract quite a few fans. Maybe enough to just barely chart. My screening last week was sold out with an enthusiastic crowd. One of the kills is a hall of fame'r that got a huge applause break. You'll know it when you see it.

Genuinely shocked that this weekend is a new release dead zone. You'd think every weekend in the summer movie season is prime big screen real estate but I guess I'm more wrong than I realized. I also don't think any of these movie break into the top 10.

Derrick Affolder

I'm gonna give a hopeful vote to In A Violent Nature because it looks cool and it's the only one I ha e heard of. Summer is typically a void for horror hounds, so they may get out on enough force to crack the top 10, but probably not.

Another new "release" this weekend is Ezra, a seemingly real movie that stars Tony Goldwyn and Robert De Niro. Maybe this weekend will mark the beginning of Ezramania.

Amanda and Daniel Pietsch

IAVN was amazing. Sadly, we were the only 2 people in our Saturday showing.
