Game Devlog 01: Finally taking that first step (Patreon)

I've talked about making a game for a loooong time. That PhaserJS video I did years ago was actually driven by my desire to make a game. And now here we are!
I'm calling this series of Patreon posts "Game Devlog" to help myself commit to the idea of finally making a game.
This short little clip obviously isn't much but it's my own personal announcement that I've decided on a game engine: Godot.
I was leaning towards Panda3D but after talking with friends, I went with Godot.
The biggest challenge is simply learning the tool. I already know how to write code and you don't really need to write much with Godot anyway.
Godot itself is a beast and the editor is super well done. There's just so much to learn!
I feel like once I build and release my first game, I will have learned all of the tools needed for me to make a second. And third, and fourth!
