Some of you may not be aware of this, but Draco from Gatorbox is an avid fan of speedrunning with a couple of minor accomplishments to his name such as being the former world record  holder for the SNES port of the arcade hit Super Off Road.

Every year Draco gets in touch with his inner speedrunner and puts on 24 hours of speedruns and completion runs for various games to raise money for the charity Extra Life. The games Draco runs cycle out each year, but Super Off Road makes the cut every single time -- it's a favorite game of his and Reflex's, and Draco raises money for the children's hospital that saved his brother's life in the early 00's.

Many speedrunners on Twitch have their own custom emoticons that are specific to the games they run, and the "$50,000 Turn" emote (GBturn) is one of just a few that exist on the Gatorbox channel, referring to an accident that can happen in Super Off Road. The differences between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place are increments of $50,000 in-game; a "$50,000 turn" happens when the player makes an attempt to grab an item, fails, and loses a place in the race (which will cost them $50,000) in-game.

Shown in the emote is the dreaded silver truck who always runs with high stats and a lot of Nitro boosts plus the in-game flag waver who will end up waving the checkered flag for someone other than yourself. Most likely the damn silver truck.

Draco is no longer the world record holder of Super Off Road, but the emotes are still an important part of the channel's history. Stay tuned later this year for the annual Extra Life marathon for your chance to use it!
