I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out where I knew Ella Purnell from. She was in Yellowjackets!! Speaking of which, Yellowjackets would be another great show to react to!!! About the pacing, I agree with everything you said. A few of us here have had many years and 5 games (plus 2 more if you count Tactics and 76) to learn about the world of Fallout, and they did a great job of giving everyone else a massive crash course in just 2 episodes!!

Ghouls are not immortal, just heavily radiated and long lived. They are not immune to physical damage, and all are risk of becoming "feral". Feral ghouls are essentially zombies. The mutant bear is called a Yao-guai, after a Chinese word for monster. We have had glimpses of Rad roaches but very fortunately have not yet seen a giant rad scorpion. The two headed cattle are called Brahmin, and often used as pack animals in caravans across the wastes. The universal currency is now old bottle caps. Yes, there is a bunch of infodumping happening, but it is all built into the story well enough to not distract you. Filly is not a town we have encountered before, but apparently is dug out of a landfill.

The turret from the beginning is from Fallout 4 and it is AWFUL. Literally only way to die from it is if you stand semi still, hence the whole "please remain calm" warning. Its little gags like those that make it so special for me. Also the fact that a CYANIDE PILL was the most humane thing Vault-Tec created should give a good picture of just how terrible of a company they are. Final thing: fuck radroaches--thats what the cockroaches of the Wasteland are called.
