I feel the show takes off after the 4th episode. The Acting picks up for me enough to want more. I'm enjoying my second watch thru and reading posts in the chat.

I do appreciate your approach to the live-action adaptation. I think having some distance from the anime series helps. You can appreciate the fan service that they include. That same distance can also help you disregard some changes that don't really affect the story.

Thank you! I've been trying to avoid any comments/spoilers online, so I'm not biased, but I've seen a few that pointed out things I haven't noticed. That being said, I agree--I'm really glad I didn't re-watch the original beforehand, because it's much easier to look at this with fresh eyes. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season!
