VaM is not easy to understand. look for help and guides on the hub: https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/youtube-tutorials.6672/ here is a bit about the .vac, .var, and folder structures: -.var is an Addonpack with content. - Place it to VaM/addonpackages. you can create your own custom subfolder structure there to organise/categorize various addonpacks. Note: .var is the same as .rar so you can easily extract files from it for modification. -.vac is outdated way of sharing scenes from before addonpacks, but still functional. - Place it to VaM/saves/scene and use it as any other scene. Note: once you will load new .vac at least once, it will unpack its content to the same folder where it is placed, after that you can delete the original .vac and load the scene from the unpacked files directly. -You can also stumble upon some old loose files which usually go to appropriate folder in VaM/Custom/... For example: Custom body skin textures would go to VaM/Custom/atom/prerson/textures

Just got into VR and you are my favorite creator so far on VAM thanks for the amazing scenes and uploading them for free. Are there scenes on your patreon i'm missing that are not on the Hub? And where would i find the related dependencies for them? Lana and Sylvia are my favorite ;)

Thanks, glad you like my stuff. here you get access to my archive that has everything i ever made in and for VaM. there might be few small scenes that were not really worth uploading to hub here and there but its not a regular thing. most stuff thats 3+ years old might not work right due to VaM updates and changes. you can get all missing dependencies from hub via the VaM package manager.

Hi, gald to have you as a supporter :) Sure thing, i plan to fill the library with looks, just need to polish them a bit so i dont accidentally share something copyrighted and will leave the female there as well. Im honestly little surprised that anyone would be interested in the few female models i made, since there are so many better quality models on r/VAMscenes made by many other creators.

The .VAC files are for Virt-a-Mate. You will first need the software from here: patreon.com/meshedvr (the 2 buck version is enough to see the scenes)

I copy the folders into my "...vam/Saves/" directory but when I load scenes, most are missing at least the passenger plugin and many when I try to load report the error message "Could not locate central directory .zip.zipfiles. ... ". Could you tell me what im doing wrong?

not all scenes have passenger plugin by default. Some older scenes from 2019 can be outdated and cause some errors. Also there is a lot of "raw" stuff in the 2019 archive with no controlls at all just for people to salvage animations. i dont know about that error, so if you can tell me at least one scene which causes it, i will check it out.

Im referring just to the 2020 folder, for context. BTW great work big fan. Scene is giantess behind.vac So I copied all 3 main folders into /Saves/, and the .vac is at vam/Saves/2020 Video - VaM Scene/January Clips - VaM scenes/Scenes/giantess behind.vac Cant figure out how to quickly send a snapshot but the error says: "Exception during zip file extract of C:\vam\Saves\...\Scenes\giantess behind.vac:ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipException:Cannot find central directory at ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipFile.ReadEntires()[0x00000] in :0 json file C:\vam\Saves\2020...\Scenes\giantess behind.vac is missing" but it is there. **extra for context, lets focus on 1 thing at a time, thanks for helping out btw** I also load any of the individual dickgirl characters and they do not report errors, but spawn without hair, outfits, etc. basically very different from the thumbnails. Sorry, didnt see the whole message before. Im not sure what the error msg is about.. I can take a look at that scene and see if i can repoduce it. any other scenes are doing it? Regarding the models. Its pretty difficult to sahre anything in current state of VaM. The hair and clothes dont get packed in the VAC sadly so you need to download them separately and place them in to your customs folder. otherwise they wont get loaded. most of the clothes i use is from DAZ store so it cannot be shared freely anyway. you will need to import it yourself if you want it. And the missing breathing plugin needs to be replaced manually as i recently discovered that scripts with multiple files wont get packed in VAC either. Next VaM update should address these issues, so we just need to wait a bit for that and then all these issues will be gone hopefully.

hair needs to be in VaM/Custom/hair/male and female ALso you will need to be on latest VaM Beta build for some of the hairstyles to work

i dont keep things categorised like that. in 2019 archive just look in to video clips folder, there some long videos and short ones sorted by month in which it was made. in 2020 folder everything is divided by months only.

yes, most of the models is shared as .vac scene. so place it anywehre in saves folder and load the scene, select the model there and save her as appearance preset so you can then use her in any other scene via loading appearance preset. In case you find something that is in .var then just drop that to Addonspackages folder.

Raw scenes are old and unplayable. they were built specifically to create videos and nothing else. best to avoid those.

So far, on your Mega, I've been able to play just 2019 MP4s, with a lot of buffering, and a couple from 2022. After 2019, right clicking on the file does not produce a 'play' choice. Almost everything I've downloaded comes out as a sound file only. I don't have these problems with any other downloads on Patreon.

Strange. and this happens on both mega and google drive? If only audio is playing from the downloaded files, perhaps you are missing some codecs? try using VLC player or download codecs from here: https://codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_full.htm

Thanks for your suggestions. Tried VLC and it does bring up the visuals, but extremely slow and almost still-life with time lapses when I downloaded Elf+Orc POV, 2022. Weird. And a pity, cos great work and with a far better sound track than Double FF, next door, which nevertheless is still A1. I find Google Drive useless. My Windows MP is up-to-date for Windows 7 64 bit. About to check codecs.

Update: installed the K-Lite codec pack. All A1 ok so far, so thanks a lot. Great animations, by the way!!

the download folder videos seem corrupted. only a few of them play once downloaded, through DEO VR or otherwise... I cant figure out how to fix the issue.

The VR Videos download links don't seem to work on PC except for a couple of them. I am using DEO VR, and attempting to watch through the app. After downloading everything only 2 videos play.
