April Illustration 2020 (Patreon)

Welp!  I didn't come up with a poll for you guys this month, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and just draw whatever I felt like.  I've been meaning to bust out my markers lately, so this was the perfect excuse!  

FOR SOME INEXPLICABLE REASON, I was overcome with the urge to do a post-apoc Sock and Jonathan?  I was gonna have them driving around in a little vehicle like an old-school Toriyama illustration?  But then I got too hung up on the car... I was gonna put them in my shit-ass 90's Grand Cherokee, BUT if we're going by Mad Max logic, all of the cars have to be pre-70's/80's (before they started putting computers in them), which actually works out just fine, because the Jeep Cherokee is actually descendant from the Jeep Wagoneer, which they made from like the 60's - 80's.  But then I was like "man, THE WHOLE POINT of drawing them in apocalypse gear is just an excuse to draw alternate outfits, and putting them in a car of ANY kind is gonna' conceal most of their outfit, so FUCK it."  

Anyway, I kinda struggled with this one, but I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out!  Jonathan has a patch on his jeans made from a scrap of Sock's skirt, which is a detail I thought of at the last second, so I'm pretty proud of that.  Sock would thrive in this kind of environment.  Jonathan decided to start wearing eyeliner.

I'm thinking since this is a physical drawing, maybe I can pick someone to send it to?  Patreon doesn't allow raffles, so I'm thinking I might do a contest.  I have a new character who's being introduced in W2H2, but I haven't decided on a color scheme for them yet... maybe I'll post some lineart and hold a coloring contest?  Let me know what you guys think in the comments!
