The Immortal (Patreon)

    Ghette have met the Immortal while he was still a human. She was on a hunt for the slavers known as Vircapra responsible for many unsolved disappearances in the land. Her investigation led her to the slaver's cave. The main bodyguard of this place was no other than him - Detajaz Blackshield. Paladin ruined by the oath he broke. With a cocky smile on his face since the moment their weapons clashed, he toyed with Ghette. Charmed by her perseverance to take him down. Her spirit to defeat him to keep her people safe reminded him of his own past before he broke his oath. She wasn't even a challenge to him though, so the death took him by surprise. As a person believing in a fair fight, the decision she was about to make haunted her in the days to come. Led by the remark of one of the slaves she helped release, she hit a pillar stabilizing the cave, causing it to collapse and burying Detajaz alive.
   Hatred he felt for her pierced through the dimensions and traveled with him back from the afterlife into the world of living, where he became a revenant. Filled with the only goal to slay her, he continued on jumping with his consciousness from one corpse to the other. At some point, he allied himself with a former friend of his in a quest to get rid of the Alhoon, a lich terrorizing the land. During the last blow to the barrier protecting the Alhoon, Detajaz had a vision that flipped his view of Ghette. It was thanks to her he obtained the immortality.
   Now after defeating the lich he absorbed some of their power and became the Immortal. Visiting Ghette every now and then, longing to get her by his side. Possessive and manipulative, playing on her strong sense of honor and her regret of letting their fight end prematurely.
