Bam, just bought a pair. Amazon is out of stock as usual after you post a positive review. So I bought them from Chane Music for $269.00. I looked at the blue tooth version of these from the Swan website, $499 plus $50 shipping. I bought a blue tooth adapter instead. Hopefully I won't regret buying from Chane Music. I saw where Monoprice had these speakers and Chane supplied them with a drop so I thought they must be legit.

Zeos, could you do a small test for me with the M200 MKiii, can you set them up as a computer speakers (tower on one side, monitor between them, maybe a dac or something els - and see if any buzzzing pops up. Still trying to work with Chane to figure out why the pairs I tried where acting so poorly.

Anonymous

No DAC built in on the Swan's vs T0 or T1 so that is why they would be a no for me on my work desk.

Great video Z! Love your speaker reviews, especially powered ones.

Hey Z are these good for a room in a 2.1? Or should I get some Kef q series?

Anonymous

I use this to control powered speakers with the volume control on the back <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Controller-Fostex-Pc-1e-White/dp/B0058B1T4M" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.amazon.com/Controller-Fostex-Pc-1e-White/dp/B0058B1T4M</a>

Swan has a version called the M200mkiii+ that comes with a remote and multiple inputs including optical <a href="https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.15.3789bb7bLldO53&id=556749853452&ns=1&abbucket=13" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.15.3789bb7bLldO53&id=556749853452&ns=1&abbucket=13</a>#detail Available only in China, as far as I can tell.

available here too <a href="https://swanspeakers.com/product/m200mkiii-bluetooth-bookshelf-speakers/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://swanspeakers.com/product/m200mkiii-bluetooth-bookshelf-speakers/</a>

These. But hold off on the sub until you hear them. Also there is apparently a plus version with digital in and a remote.

Hey Z, have you played around with the powered Klipsch R-15PM’s at all? They’re marked down for the holiday, and while I realize they aren’t professional studio monitors, the integrated DAC and Bluetooth functionality along with the other inputs are definitely interesting for home office speakers.

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is ludicrous, absurd, and fantastical. 10/10 watching it again brb.

ZeosPantera

I have not. I heard they weren't the same tonality as the RP150M I reviewed and love. Sort of strange.

Swans are the winner here, oh boy I don't need these but....................

ZeosPantera

The problem with audio is REALLY.. you don't need anything.. But my word is it fun.

I snagged a pair. We agree that most/all bookshelf speakers benefit from a subwoofer, but these REALLY needed the help. the 150's you reviewed got down to 48hz, but these are only rated for 62hz. Similar speaker tech, both 5.25" drivers, but the cabinets on the 150's are much larger and deeper which must have a pretty big impact on frequency response. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find something as flexible and versatile as these are for a desk, smaller room, or small vinyl setup (builtin phono preamp)--especially at $350/pr, but they desperately needed the subwoofer.

ZeosPantera

Hrm. Seems like a sacrifice some are willing to make on a desk. More room and then put a sub to stand on.

This is exactly why I joined this Patreon, I'm a noob when it comes to audio and this is the best channel I've found. The SWANS sound amazing. Gona have to plow through some of your videos to find a proper amp for desktop speakers.

Anonymous

Woah swans over T1's?? Dare you say best powered speakers under $1,000?

Anonymous

Is their website broken for you too? I can't get the shipping calculator to work, and the button to get to your cart is broken as well.

ZeosPantera

there actually is a new version of the swans with a dac built in. Just not on Amazon,
