So right now I'm at a crossroads with how I want to continue making content on Patreon. Sorry but right now I'm NOT focused and if I stream I know it's gonna be shit. I need a few extra days to think about how I'm going to do things moving forward, Patreon's ties to my KIngu~san YT channel, how this affects the Gaming content I want to do or LACK THERE OF, and also streaming as a whole on this platform. 


So here is the big question for ALL current Patreons. This will decide a lot moving forward so please be honest with your boy. Do you guys care/want to see a LIVE CHAT in my reactions? **Meaning I would just watch the anime myself on my own time and upload those reactions.

While I may be a mod for the KOL discord server, I’m first and foremost a fan of your anime streams and have been since the stream.me days. To me and many other people the best thing to improve upon would be better scheduling and time management when it comes to the streams. I’ll also say that privatising the streams when live is NOT the way to go at all, please rethink this.

Chat is needed for stuff like telling you are muted when you are muted, and it also helps with you reacting when you can see chat reacting to your reaction. However, there are trolls in chat and sometimes it takes your attention away from the anime. I say you should do a coin toss.

With your streaming content it’s a double edge sword in a way. Seeing you react to funny meme’s or comments and such does add to the experience but also seeing the chat trolling a show you’ve chosen to keep or are considering can be irritating. As a whole seeing what you’re reacting to in chat is a part of the experience with you since you interact with your audience that’s what makes you so fun. But good luck on your decision !

I don't believe making your anime nights private is the best course of action. I think the main part of the anime nights is the huge crowds of people that chat together that watch your content. And if you make it where only 2/3 of your viewers can't see you and or chat with you that just feels empty compared to before.

Live chat adds to the fun of the reactions. Some of the best moments come from the chat which in my opinon adds value to the overall content.

Kol I dont know if you'll see this or not but I dont think its necessary to have chat for EVERY anime. There are clearly some popular ones and less than popular ones so why not stream the popular ones on set days and then the ones very little people care about film them on your own? I dont think majority people would mind.

I joined your Patreon cause I say you upload some videos on YT that had the chat and saw people talking together and to you, it’s the main reason I joined. I absolutely love the chat and hope you keep it. It’s like texting a group chat of friends while watching your favorite shows. All that being said, if you feel like having to do the reactions live with the chat is draining you. Stop it. Your personal/mental health is more important. It might be helpful to do it every two weeks instead.

This is so weirdly formulated. You are just asking if it's ok to stop streaming and just upload reactions instead. It's fine by me. Chat is overrated anyway. As long as you don't use this offline format as an excuse to lower the amount of shows you watch from what it has been up until now I don't see the problem.

While i enjoy seeing you interact with chat, which i think is half the fun for a lot of the viewers, if it is hindering your ability to make content or is making you miserable, put your well being/happiness first and foremost. A lot of people are watching the streams to see your reactions to these shows, and as long as you can be entertaining without chat, they probably won't mind. Also if you want to limit the livestreams to patreons only, i don't mind, but realize that it's not going to stop people from ripping your content and uploading it elsewhere. It's also going to mean a lot less people will be watching you live and will rely on those rips.

I believe it has something to do with it being not monitored much and if its for editing purposes it will be easy to edit out. Unless hes gonna use a different stream format with just the face cam the and video or he may just make stand alone videos without the chat and watch on his own time to upload thats the logical answer

The problem, for me, is that you will debate with chat and it ruined the pacing of throughout the steam. Like, It turn a 23 minutes episode to 50 minutes. Making the steam LONGER than it should. But, If you think differently. THAT IS OK!!! We are here for You!! HERE AND ALWAYS!!!!!

Okay I think I understand now you are deciding if you want to do it reaction style like Yaboiroshi or livestream style. I'll say this, Yaboiroshi has a very successful model on Patreon but it's sustained with a strict schedule and takes a lot more work. The livestream style is a different vibe entirely so it's up to what works best for you. The viewers will adapt.

Hey King, I haven't really commented in a bit and I've been mad busy with IRL so I've been slowly catching up on your streams (I'm still way back in February lmao), but I wanted to let you know you're the GOAT bro, I never had so many things in common with someone like I do with you (I even hate shrimp bro, they are sea bugs for real), like 99% of thought processes are similar to mine it's scary. I don't know how chat has been in the current times but I do notice there's oftentimes some really stupid clowns in chat that manage to not get banned, whether it's because they're 12-16 years old or because they have actual mental disabilities, it's always unfortunate because you can tell the Moderators hold back from dunking on them. If you must get rid of chat, I would be alright with it, but I think it's more preferable to have chat there. While I was looking through a bunch of your older streams since I'm backlogged hard asf, even though the punks that were mad annoying and the spoiler fucks existed, I think it was pretty tolerable. If it has gotten worse now, get your gigachad mods like Xellen or Julias (bro how you not about S1 Ousama Ranking opening? joking lmao) to start banning the insufferable clowns. My 2 cents, much love!

Chat is a big part why i started watching you, and what differentiates you from the other reactors i follow, I would love to keep seeing chat interact with you, but if it's annoying, you may as well follow what you want, I find this poll being very meaningless when the final decision is always yours. Do what's good for your mental health regardless of what the community wants. When you're in a good mood the reactions are always great. If chat is in the way distracting and draining you to the point of pay-walling your streams then it's probably a good idea to limit it as much as possible.

I do like chat all though it can be cancerous at times with all the weirdos and trolls, I think having a more strict set of rules in chat will make things better just ban all the retards who do dumb shit lol. I wouldn't mind you doing a few weeks of just uploading your reactions and seeing if that allows you to use that extra time for creating other content. A suggestion as for patreon is creating a series that compares and contrasts 2 different animes that you would do (maybe live) once a week or every 2 weeks.

It depends. Sometimes KOL's banter with stream chat also makes it into the YT clips, so removing chat also removes context for that. I also read the chat in the VODs to see what was being said in case I missed something. But at the same time, chat is also a bunch of trolls, so maybe the VODs and YT vids would be better off without them. For now, lets see what the poll results in.

I think chat has a obvious presence so it's absence would definitely be felt. these reactions being a live stream seems like the biggest appeal but what ever is convenient for you man. I wouldn't mind if you did a reaction alone. Try it, see how that goes. My advice would be to focus on less anime at once. you got Primal, Steins;Gate, and Monogatari. I think if you just focused on one of them at a time instead of watching an episode of each, every stream, you'd actually get through them faster. or you wouldn't have to deal with leaving them unfinished like Love is War. they would instead be saved for later when you have time, which you probably won't have next season lol oh actually, I like the beginning bits where you go through anime related news, especially when you're looking at trailers.

No chat works for me since scheduling has been hella late since we moved from Dlive. The issue is those non patrons won’t be able to watch at all, you could public the upload for 24 hours so that non patrons can watch, and then private it once the time passes 24hrs.

Let's see here, I've been watching you're anime livestreams since Oct 2020, so far I've enjoyed interacting with you and the chat as we watch it together because it's hilarious at times and crazy when shit hits the gutter. I agree with some people in the chat that, if you're mental health/Wellbeing isn't working out then it can be stressful for you then that isn't good thing we like to hear. So I don't mind if you just watch it at your own pace without chat, so that you can catch up to other things with a better pacing and schedule for future events etc. Unless you make an Onlyfans lmao then that's a different story jk Im capping KEKW.

I usually catch the vod. Been watching sense dlive. The dlive chat really added to the experience and I enjoyed the random videos that would get posted. The discord chat doesn’t contribute to the experience as much, i.e. good memes, interesting takes, etc, it also seems to distract you i.e. taking shoots at you, near hentai posts, bad takes, etc. Your more than talented enough to do it yourself and keep getting my money. Keep moving forward, it’s been a pleasure and an inspiration watching you methodically build your brand. DO WHAT YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO DO as an artist/entertainer and as a business man. I mainly catch the VOD since my schedule conflicts with your reactions. I love your interaction with chat though. HOWEVER, that is only for when you're actually watching the episodes and interacting. When you talk to chat beforehand I usually just skip that. I find you and chat much more interesting and fun during the reactions itself. 😁

Crimsons is also right, if your posting vods on Patreon on anime or shows just binged it if possible because it will be much quicker instead of watching a little of every think at a time. And you’ll have much more free time to do whatever. You will also have more content producing if you treat every anime binge watch as it own separate vods so people can cling individually to sed show they want to watch.

like many people have stated, the interactions that you have is the reason many of us like your reactions. But it is true that sometimes it can go out of hand and stall too much the streaming. I usually watch VOD and when something crazy happens it is funnier when you and chat interact. But If it is a toll for you, i understand that your mental health is more important. Just do what is best for you.

the memes and jokes from the chat are great, but a lot of the time there are trolls and people just trying to distract you. which ends up making the reaction like 2x as long as it normally would be. you could keep the chat, but increase the amount of mods or limit it to patrons only to cut down on the trolls.
