Amphitheatre (Patreon)

The actors had taken the stage for the final act. As captivating as their performance was, it was nowhere near as enthralling as the drama playing out amongst the senators in attendance and the newly-elected Archon. 

It was a bold performance. Such comical and direct criticisms of statehood under a new, untested leader could lead to the demise of even the most renowned performer. Such a statement was unheard of, and for good reason. While this had taken most by surprise, I was aware of the back-dealings that arranged for this particular script to be featured on this night. While the crowd delighted in the jests and roared with laughter at the degrading impressions of those charged with our protection, I was tasked to observe.

This was a test of mettle against the new members of the senate and played against the stability of our leader-elect. And my sole duty, my greatest sin, was to watch them. To observe their reactions and the decisions born from them. In such trying times, can they afford such slanderous depictions of statehood? Will they vie for public appeasement, and approve? 

In a profession where every performance is a test, who are our most prolific actors? Those on the stage, or those who guide the known civilization? In some instances, the handlings of the trivial can foretell how a senate can be swayed. And there are many that would pay a hefty price for such trivial information.

Can you hear the roar of the crowd? The boos and cheers? This amphitheatre is perfect for theatre, ceremonies, announcements or fights! - Although I'm sure if your players are anything like mine, the fighting will happen regardless of the setting.

I've been really enjoying this greek theme and it's colour pallet, we have one more to go this month but I'm very tempted to do a bath house to start of next month - which would be great for non-greek settings too.
