"The moment she had been waiting for had finally arrived. Two weeks had transpired since the excavation began, and Tastren watched as the laborers in the pit brushed away the debris revealing the first point of the Eight Pointed Star. She recognized the unique geometry at a moment's notice. The faded marble and stone patterns could still be barely made out by the trained eye.

"It's really here," she gasped, "It's real!"

The foreman, still catching his breath from scaling the ramp leading up from the excavation site, took his place by Tastren and looked down upon the partially unearthed stone mural.

"I guess it wasn't a waste of time after all." He muttered. "You know, I can't help but remember what that old hermit said when we first got here. His warning of 'Sacred grounds are not meant to be disturbed', as if he knew what was 20 feet under his hovel all this time."

"He was an old man with old beliefs." She replied. "This is going to make history, mark my words. Let's not talk about curses and ominous warnings. It's not a good time for the laborers to get skittish over superstitions."

"As you wish." the foreman responded. "I'll send word back to the Academy, we've found what we're looking for.""
