Sorry, I've been quite unfair to my Patrons here and I've been ignoring Patreon. That ends now. I've going to incorporating Patreon more into my Channel. I'm going to start posting maps and other content and making discussions for my Patrons. There will also be more changes over the next few days so stay in touch. If you have any comments I will be happy to hear them.

I have a theory for you - What if the Steam Engine was put to greater use when it was first created. Now I know that Monsieur Z did something like this on his channel 2 years ago, but his was specifically the Roman Empire. I am suggesting that the birth, and life, of Heron of Alexandria be pushed back by about 200ish years, under the Ptolemaic dynasty, and the auspices of Ptolemy III Euergetes (The Benefactor) who was huge at patronizing scientific development.

I'll need to think about it. There was none of the Industrial prerequisites for it inside the society involved. Slaves were so cheap that there was no need for labor saving devices. Also, Greek culture shunned mechanical innovation since they viewed it as ungentlemanly. They would make abstract inventions like the Antykyrthera since that had little practical value but nothing that was labor saving.

It's an interesting timeline and plausible but it frankly seems a bit too niche to make into a full length video. It's hard to make early Dark-Age timelines and few fans about the UK would understand the importance.

I have an idea. I often listen to your videos while walking around, much like a podcast, but it is too bad knowing that I’m missing anything you’ve put on screen. What if you uploaded the audio from your videos as a podcast, but recorded extra bits explaining the information that would normally be seen in the text walls/maps/images?
