On the plus side, I don't have a detached retina. On the negative side, I have a consult for possible laser surgery tomorrow at 0915.

From personal experience, be glad it isn't a detached retina. Those are a massive pain in the ass. I wish you luck on the potential laser surgery. It the cards fall right, it is much less traumatic.
