What's Next for RKG? (Patreon)

We’ve just published a new video about What’s Next for RKG and we want to tell you a bit more about it, since you’re already patrons.

It’s partly an updated video explaining why Patreon is invaluable to what we do, but it’s also something of a manifesto for who we are as creators and what we want to make.

If you listen to Shield Up regularly, or watch Producer streams, you’ll have heard us touch on some of these ideas in the past. We’ve talked about how we want to approach making Let’s Plays series, but we wanted to pull that all together and put it out there for everyone to hear. And explain why Patreon is so integral in the pursuit of these goals.

Now was the right time to put this out. We’re gearing up for RETRY: Elden Ring, which will be the biggest thing we’ve ever made, and we’re putting the finishing touches to the RKG studio, which we’ve been working on for the past 6 months. It’s nearly done, and is already transforming how we make things. You’ve directly changed our lives and provided us with an amazing environment to do our best work. Honestly, we feel so lucky to be in this position. So you’re getting another ‘thank you’.

Today is also about renewing our commitment to Patreon. We really believe in the spirit of supporting the people who make the things you love. And we know you do, too.

So tied into the announcement today is a promise to always use Patreon in creative and thoughtful ways. We want to experiment with how we can use this platform to give you, the people who most passionately want to support our work, a richer RKG experience. We always want your RKG pledge to feel like the best use of your money.

We’ve refreshed the tiers, including the announcement of two new exclusive shows: Roundtable Hold and Lore MasterClass. (More details on those will be coming in the run-up to RETRY: Elden Ring.)

The biggest change is Early Access has now become Extra Features. We feel like this better describes what you’re getting on that refreshed tier. You’ll still be able to watch new episodes a week early on this tier, but you’ll also receive Shield Up and our new RETRY companion show, Roundtable Hold.

Today is a really exciting one for us. We’ve been planning to get to this point for a long time and it’s finally all coming together. There’s so much we want to do in the future, and we’re excited to go on that journey with you.
