Hello fellow translators,

Nitoryu - in Japanese, it means being an expert at two things. That perfectly sums up this month's update! I got an incredible release for all of you, whether you're excited about the QOL improvements for human translation or eagerly awaiting new MTL features (yes, I know some of you have been waiting for this).

Actor reference

With this awesome addition, you can now display the actor who is speaking directly in the row header. By that, we will know exactly who's voicing those in-game dialogues. But wait, there's more! We've also made sure to include the ability to display actors in the cell info pane, giving you all the essential details in one glance.

If you're a seasoned game translator, you already know the importance of this feature. It's a game-changer! Imagine being able to instantly identify the character behind the dialogue and tailor your translations accordingly. You can capture their unique tone, style of speech, and bring their personality to life in your translations.

And that's not all - we know that character names taken directly from the game might still be in the original language. But fear not! With Translator++'s "Reference" feature, you can seamlessly translate those names on the fly, making your workflow smoother than ever. See it in action in the video below:

I would say that is a game changer addition for human translation.

And now for MTL part...

Adding a new option to improve the reliability of ChatGPT

If you've read the previous article, you're already aware that I've added two fantastic options for OpenAI Chat and OpenAI Completion: "Max row per concurrent request" and "Max concurrent requests." These game-changing features will make a world of difference when it comes to generating accurate and lightning-fast translations. Say goodbye to the pesky issues we faced while translating large chunks of text!

To bring you these remarkable enhancements, we undertook a major overhaul of the TranslatorEngine class. This overhaul makes it super easy for anyone to create their own machine translation add-ons. Stay tuned for a dedicated article where I'll dive deeper into this exciting development.

All of these incredible features are included in the latest version of Translator++, Ver. 5.6.30.

Thank you for your continued support, and let's embark on this exciting journey together!

Happy translating,

Dreamsavior
