Hey guys just want to give you a info on what has transpired over the course the last

couple weeks.  As you know we spent the initial week of March dedicated to SU.  Now we both feel that it worked out nicely and are planning on keeping that schedule for the upcoming months.  Outside of games we have been working on other projects that will eventually be used as a whole ecosystem for our games.  The central hub will be our website.  This will be up and running by months end.  We will have a store with T-shirts (teespring) and prints (redbubble) for sale.  Our plans for the website will involve all new artworks to be released there first (week early), with all progressions and potentially in Hi-Res (we are still debating the idea).   Patreon has some really neat API that we would like to incorporate in the future but first we need to handle the additional workload that the site will bring.  Also we have been discussing in depth plans moving forward/directions we feel we can take to grow the community but also our brand of games.  This comes in the way of distribution which we are exploring uploading the demo on Newgrounds (via webgl).  Thanks to our choice in game engine this is relatively painless, with a small drop in quality due to compression.  I want to end this with a big thank you to all of you for your continued support.

Will the artwork on the website be available to everyone or will the site require a membership?

At first it will be available to all. But when we incorporate patreon API we want to have a VIP section. This means you can log in with your Patreon account and it will grant you access. This way we might be able to not violate Patreons TOS as we will be hosting our own work. We still haven't checked with Patreon on this, as we are a few months away from integrating this. -SmokeShank

I confess to being somewhat disappointed that this update lacked any mention of upcoming content and focused more on the "extracting more money out of people" side of things. I am somewhat interested in the shirts though, depending on the artwork. Will you guys ship to other countries than the states? When your website is up and running and fully secure I assume that you'd prefer people to move to that website instead of Patreon? or does Patreon take a smaller slice of the money than whatever payment processor you have got lined up?

I'm sorry about not commenting on the content. The website will be the beginning steps of moving forward towards our grand idea on how to solve the problem with the lack of distribution and visibility of these types of games (which we are very excited to get rolling). The "extracting money" part is more for the people who want to support via payment systems that don't allow "NSFW" content. All successful artists out there usually have many different options for fans to support. As of right now we have only two ways, Patreon, and the liking and sharing type support. The shirts will be fulfilled by a third party (teespring which has amazing reviews) and they do ship internationally. Actually Patreons fees are ultra low, even if you take in the decline rate into account. It's actually pretty unbeatable (5% Patreon, and roughly 6-8% processor fees), where if you where to do it yourself you could see as high as 20% for processing fees. Lastly we want to host all items that potentially violate Patreon TOS on our site, and keep Patreon for communication, and direct communication to supporters on this platform. There will be some content information coming shortly - SmokeShank

Thanks for the answer. So for you guys it's more beneficial for people to support via Patreon due to the lower fees but the Patrons risk missing out on the NAOP (Not Allowed on Patreon) content until the cross-website login thing that you mentioned is sorted?

What will happen is we will have a VIP (or something login) it will ask you to login using patreon (a patreon button, much like the login with facebook on say spotify or other platforms). The website will then ping patreon and receive your donation level and see if your in good standing, and then allow you access to materials that we host on our own website. This has greater far reaching possibilities, like how does Sakimichan remain SFW and accept Paypal, while clearly stating NSFW art work (we have a pretty good idea)? We may even be able to apply the API to say a game, which would allow us to use multiple platforms and payment models. There are many boring business type problems these games face. Luckily I find that stuff super fascinating and love to work on them. I can't divulge to much info as we haven't cleared any of this with Patreon yet. At this point we want to get the site up and running for a few months then start building all this in the background. - SmokeShank
