Woke up this morning having completely different plans. Looked at my notifications and I was blown away. Both Sunset and I are so grateful that all of you have been so generous!! Thank you so much. Now on to what was this milestone is about and why it is so very important. Currently our backup system is completely mcgyver'd together. It involves Sunset to manually back up all our projects on one of several different HD's in his system. These are not in a RAID or anything just separate drives, all within the same computer. The computer is connected to a power bar but that is it. These drives are standard consumer grade drives. When we do a release sunset then uploads that project to the cloud where I then d/l it to my cpu (for our offsite storage), any current WIP material is strictly on SR7 side (about 100+ pictures in various stages of completion). Sunset will backup Injustice periodically but if we were to lose a HD it could set us back potentially a week (which could amount to about 60 hrs of work at some points). Lastly with wanting to potentially add a full-time employee in the near future we want the ability to seamlessly work on projects, or have access to assets without the need for manually transferring. This is where our NAS (network attached storage) will come in. All the equipment we will be putting into place will be enterprise grade (or close), from network routers and wireless APs to the NAS and UPS (universal power supply). In the eventuality of a data loss (it will happen at some point) we will be in shape to be back up in hours and back to where we had left off. The NAS will be set-up to backup at night so that all work will be safe and sound.  I have shared below the product list that we are looking at purchasing  with an estimated price. If you are a networky kind of person feel free to critic it and let us know if we can do better. Lastly this will be overkill for us at this point but will allow us to grow into it in the future. We will be purchasing most of this equipment in January, and I will share pictures as we get up and running. I know this isn't a super cool milestone but SR7 and myself are like giddy school girls knowing we can rest a little easier going forward.

congratulations! As far as the tech stuff goes, all I heard you say was "Skynet will kill us all". Maybe I need to get my hearing checked. Or my eyes since you typed it.

Sounds like quite a setup. :) It's a pretty sweet upgrade, you both deserve all of the excitement on the gear. Plus, the peace of mind is a great thing. (That also reminds me that I need to buy a new UPS. My battery recently went dead on my UPS. :()

Congratz on the milestone, im happy to support all your work guys :)

Congrats guys. Just make sure you plan to pick up the Cisco SF100D-08P, unless you plan to plug the UAP in using an AC adapter. The regular 08 doesn't provide PoE.
