CHAPTER 38

Time flies quickly, and rumours quicker as he was in quite a pickle currently.

"Give me your lunch money, Quirkless!"

Said a student that was about a year older than him, about 14 years old since he had never seen him before in his year before.

They were at the back of the school currently, with a bunch of guys that unfortunately looked like gang members, with the largest one holding Go-Ru's collar currently, even though he was still on the ground since he was taller than the large kid in front of him.

'Well, I guess it was about time someone ratted my Quirkless information out to be a potential bread carrier for the gang. Though it did take a month for them to isolate me.'

He thought as he had made sure to never be alone without being near a teacher since he'd predicted that this would happen. He had honestly thought that he'd be ganged up on in the first week of school, like getting pulled over once school ended, but that never happened.

Guess some of the top executives of the gang were quite stupid, huh?

"You deaf or something? Bring out your fucking wallet or else you'll get it!"

Pushing his glasses up, he raised his arms up as he tried to cool the situation down.

"Now now, I think there's a misunderstanding — "

WHOOSH!

Before he could finish his sentence, he immediately tilted his head to dodge a punch right his way. Annoyed, the bully continued to swing his fist as Go-Ru dodged everything with just one motion of his head before kicking the bully's legs, sending him to the ground.

Patting the crease of his collar, he looked at the gang members that were on their feet with either their Quirks active or weapons in their hands such as a bat, a metal ruler, and so onwards.

"Now, as much as I'd like to entertain you people, the teachers have called me for a problem with my details, so I will be on my way."

He said coldly as he started walking back to the school building before sidestepping with a sigh to dodge an overhead bat swing. Frustrated, he took off his glasses and placed them into the uniform's breast pocket before loosening his tie.

"... Let's just get this over with."

"Where did you go?"

Jiro asked as she leaned forward, her head on her palm as Go-Ru sat on his chair with a sigh. It was almost the end of lunchtime and he hadn't even eaten yet due to some... technical difficulties.

"Sensei wanted some extra information about my home, it's nothing that important."

He told her as he took out the bento box that Buba made (Surprisingly, Buba and his clones could cook a mean Yakiniku Don) and started eating with chopsticks as Jiro squinted her eyes before asking.

"Hmm... Hey, why aren't you wearing your glasses?"

Blinking, he patted his breast pocket and felt the frame of his glasses in there before taking them out, staring at them as if they killed his dog.

"Huh, must have forgotten to wear them again."

He muttered in a betrayed tone before placing them back on his face. Jiro just stared at her sometimes confusing yet funny friend before grinning with a teasing look.

"Tsk tsk tsk, not that bright now aren't you, Dan? Forgetting your glasses and all that."

"Oh shut it."

He snarked back before taking another bite into the Yakiniku Don, ignoring the rushing teachers who were running to the back of the school.

"What's going on out there?"

She asked with a raised eyebrow, watching the teachers panic as Go-Ru just shrugged, glancing over at Toga who had made friends with some of the girl classmates, laughing and giggling. It made his day better, knowing that saving her from her parents and the League Of Villains had changed the girl before him to be so different from her anime counterpart.

'It's like she's a completely different person... Even if she has the same tendencies as her counterpart.'

"Who knows? Anyways, have you heard of this manga series? It's quite good..."

Dodging a swarm of fire by sidestepping, Gohru dashed Dabi who had an annoyed and strained face as he waves his left hand once more, flames sprouting from his shoulder and arm as another wave of blue fire barely burnt Gohru.

"How's the support item?"

He yelled before backstepping a pillar of fire that erupted beneath him, taking a few steps backwards as a precaution as Dabi looked at the device on his left arm, stopping the fight.

It was a support item meant to cool down a blazing fire instantly by emitting a cold mist that is about -50 degrees celsius, and Gohru had commissioned it to extend its range to the whole body, making it a mist-cooling device for Dabi who burns his whole body by just using his Quirk.

"Feels a little heavy and it's melting in some parts. But not bad. I think can go full power for a few minutes without burning up my body with this."

He told his boss as Gohru mentally noted the problems, nodding at the success before turning off the gravity pull of the training capsule with a button on his hand, making Dabi sigh in relief as he sits on the ground panting in exhaustion.

"Jesus, boss. Don't you think this gravity thing's a little too much?"

He muttered as Gohru walked to the control panel of the gravitational training area, changing the amount of Gs from 5 to 10.

"At least we know that it's working wuss, just need a little more adjustments. Now shoo. My time to train."

"Ugh, training junkie."

He cursed silently at Gohru who turned the machine back on, feeling the strain on his body as he flipped Dabi the finger before concentrating on his body.

"A school trip?"

"Yeah. It's a simple trip to Hokkaido in a few days, got Dabi to sign my papers, and Buba to fake Himiko-san's signatures for Toga's."

Gohru told Kenichi in a video call as he was doing another push-up. Kenichi was doing the same as well, but instead was training his core.

"Hokkaido? And during autumn? Didn't we already visit it two years back?"

"Yeah, but this is with a bunch of hormonal teenagers! Who knows what sort of drama would I be able to watch!"

Gohru grins as Kenichi just sighs.

"Listen, Gohru. Trust me, nothing gonna even happen, this is real life, not a drama series."

Gohru just shrugged before pushing himself up, straining his muscles under 15 Gs of weight with normal ease.

"Just saying, you know? Hopefully, something fun happens, I'm bored out of my mind when you're not here to spar with me!"

"Ugh, it's only a few months, Gohru. I'll be back during Summer break."

Kenichi was now trying to finish his studies in the UK since he had sponsorship from the World Martial Arts Tournament, and he just finished his second semester in his diploma.

"You better! I've made a few new moves, and you're my test subject!"

"Whatever, I also made some new ones for Ssamsu too so I'm excited to use them."

A/N:

Slow few chapters, I know but it's needed so that you can feel the friendship between Gohru and Jiro.

Don't worry though, because there's gonna be an interesting event in the next chapter when they go on their field trip to Hokkaido.
