Far above the rest of the world, where the clouds race frigid gusts of wind across tracks of jagged stone, rests an outpost for a group of renown Griffon Riders.

Any time of the year, day or night, the outpost is stocked and ready to comfortably accommodate up to six riders at a time. A host of Unseen Servants keep the entire outpost up and running at all times, and magical flames likewise burn year round.

The landing nests for the griffons are built atop the highest peak, where the magical bonfire can be seen for miles from above the clouds. Six nests are kept warm and stocked with fresh bedding, something that's not lost on the griffons each time they come and go from the outpost. For when the riders need to stay for more than a few moments, a stable awaits at the bottom of the stairs. This stable, much like the nests above, can host up to six griffons at a time. A smaller room off of this one acts as a supply shed full of various mount equipment and supplies. Fresh fruits are always available as well, as the griffons make sure no one forgets.

A small flight of stairs leads up and off to one side, heading to six modest rooms intended for the riders to use whenever they need. Each is functionally the same, fairly spartan in their design, save for the rather comfortable rugs that adorn the floors. Doors at either end of this hallway lead to the outside balcony, where a sturdy chain and some posts are all that stand between visitors and a long, long way down. Returning to the stable and continuing along, a long and wider hallway leads to a lounge of sorts, filled with map scrolls and a globe to assist in charting courses. Just outside this lounge is another balcony, this one with some benches and some surprisingly lush greenery in planters.

Returning to the peak and heading down the other flight of stairs leads to the mess hall, a quaint little kitchen that somehow always manages to smell more delicious with each and every visit. Downstairs from here is a store room that holds all manner of things, though mostly food and alcohol. Moving through this room and into the next hall leads to the most important room in the entire outpost: the bathroom. Equipped with a simple toilet and a tub, this is what most riders look forward to most after a long sortie spent above the clouds.

Whether your party has just joined the elite ranks of noble Griffon Riders, or they cut down said riders and stole their mounts, this outpost is a fantastic place for epic adventurers to rest in between fierce missions.
