Located near a vital shipping route, this humble village is surrounded by massive rocks jutting out from the sea. Fog tends to roll over the entire area, causing many boats and ships to meet their demise as they attempt to find their way out.

Over time, some of those who lost ships to this area decided they would create a beacon for ships, and they would live there to keep it lit. As time went on, more and more people began showing up between shipwrecks, as well as those who managed to successfully navigate their way in. Few stay for very long, though the regulars are rarely far away.
In the main lodge there is a wide open, comfortable area to relax and discuss plans or trade plans. There is a well stocked rack of maps nearby to assist in any planning, and some may even be for sale; for the right price.
After gathering some information and conducting their business, visitors have a few other places worth visiting during their stay. Adventurers would regret not making a stop or two by the blacksmith's boat.
Many years ago, this small ship was quite literally flung into place by a massive wave, instantly and permanently lodging it into place. Regretfully, the crew at the time were lost at sea, though the ship quickly became a part of the village. Despite it's rocky landing, the ship was otherwise undamaged, making the interior inhabitable and quite comfortable.
These days, a renown blacksmith lives there, spending their time in relative solitude. They will, however, do work for those who can offer up a challenging enough request. They will also gladly sell any of the random weapons, armor, and other bits of equipment laying around. Some areas are certainly more well kept than others, as a rundown shack near the outskirts can attest to.
With that being said, despite it's humble appearance and meager materials, this village is otherwise fairly well maintained. The heart of the town would have to be the Whistling Whale; a small but incredible little restaurant that keeps everyone fed.
Many who find themselves here tend to spend at least some of their time fishing, and they usually aren't disappointed. Much of the tides surrounding the village are tumultuous, drawing in not only unwary vessels, but fish as well. The water near the village is calm and clear, creating an excellent fishing location as new fish are constantly being deposited into it.
A quaint little inn called the Lagoon is open any time of the day for a weary traveler, though there are only so many rooms available.
This village is the perfect place to send your team of adventurers should they ever decide to set sail on the open sea. This can serve as a much needed grounding point, allowing the group to restock and rest up before heading back on their way.*
