Got a few reports about people's games locking up at a particular scene some of the time, and it took me a while to track down exactly what's happening, but it's finally fixed and uploaded everywhere! If you downloaded a copy before now, you may want to grab a fresh one just to be safe.

If you were given a google drive link, the file it points to has been replaced. Open the same link and the fixed version should be there.

Just check for the "v0.40b" on the main menu, that's how you know it's the fixed version! Sorry for the inconvenience, folks!

Are you the same Lithier that's suppose to be wrapping up The Cathouse Tale or is that a totally different Lithier?

I'm afraid that we're one and the same. Working on CHT has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I keep trying to hold out a little hope it'll somehow work out slightly less awful in the end, but I have little to no control over actual productivity at this point.

I greatly appreciate your brutal honesty. I'm sure you don't remember, but I'm the same dude who thanked you for the giant passage you wrote on how it all "went wrong", and what you learned from developing that game. I wanna thank you again, because that "Retrospective" you posted on Nov 6 on the TCT Patreon page seriously opened my eyes about the twist and turns of teamwork in game design. Like I said, I saved that post to remind myself to be careful when planning tasks as a game developer, and surprisingly, it helped not only me, but my teammates shape up before we break down. So thank you again. 👌

Well, I'm glad this big mess has at least done someone some good ^.^; When you get down to it, for all our advances, the video game industry is still in its infancy and we're still learning a lot about what it takes at every level to make a good game. That our failure might serve as a lesson and help improve the chances of other games is the best we can hope for right now. Thanks for letting me know!

Can't get mvol40.swf to run. it's constantly closing IE page and attempting to reopen page until IE gives up. don't know if anyone else is having same issue might be just my machine.
