The Patreon has been live for a week now. I didn't expect to see this many people show up and pledge their support. I've been looking over messages and figuring out a game plan going forward. I appreciate your patience. Just like you, I'm itching to see how this works out.

Just to make sure everyone understands the rewards.

Tier One (1$): Gets you a .jpg of the pinup or comic page.

Tier Two (2$): Gets you a .jpg and a large .png of the pinup or comic page. You also get a chance to vote in a poll which will be exclusive to tier two and tier three patrons. The poll won't be up until next month. It will be directly related to the 4 pieces I'll be submitting by the end of the month.

Tier Three (5$): Gets you a .jpg and a large .png as well as the raw .psd file for the pinup or comic page. Older versions of Photoshop are free to download from Adobe. The fun of the .psd file is there are layers hidden away. Those could be sketches or variant panels. It's really aimed as a reward for other artists or people looking for more than just a finished product. You're also entitled to the poll next month as a tier three patron (read Tier Two's description for more info).

So my plan for the rest of the month is to submit 4 detailed pinups which will be based on different comic ideas I really want to work on. Some of them will look familiar while others will be totally new and maybe a bit foreign. Once these are out it'll be up to you to vote on what gets attention next month. I'll be basing the next month's work on those votes. And the number of pieces will also increase, so be prepared for that.

If you have suggestions on how to improve on rewards or pricing, my inbox is always open.

Thanks, again.

I am praying it's a BBQ pin up. Fingers crossed boys!

Marco

Since you are needing to do other work until the month ends and you can get payment, can you release some older materials here in large jpg and psd form? That would be a nice gesture to all of your subscribers without giving away the farm. (I suggest releasing all of the character sheets that are across the top of your tumblr page. There is some amazingly gorgeous work there.)

I kinda hope for more fit/muscular bimbos in the future, like that awesome Powergirl drawing of yours. Anyways, I'm looking forward to anything you have in store for us :)

Marco

Also, I suggest your future "large jpg + psd" releases be complemented by a steady stream of old work released at maximum resolution. We are all here because of how great your body of work has been. We want that stuff in double-extra-large gorgeousness!

Even a dollar an image is a bit much. I know that you put alot of effort into it, but if you want to expand your number of patrons into the thousands, which I am sure you want to do, I suggest adding value to it. I don't think people mind paying five dollars for a 10 page comic, for example. I suggest you talk to someone who knows more about patreon and figure out a system that rewards your fans and rewards you.

I just hope he keeps up with the interracial stuff It's what drew me to his stuff in the first place and he excels at it but tbh i mostly just want to see new comics/storylines

Hello Pit. I liked your 2D work and style. How can I speak about cooperation with you on a little PC game project?

Hammertyme

I am so excited about this. PIT, like so many of your patrons, you are the reason I signed up to Patreon. Your work has filled me with a level of joy and excitement unlike any other artists. I've been a fan since your early days. I've adored your work at JohnPersons, and your latest creations you've posted on Tumblr, such as the Osira and Olive pieces are fantastic! <3

TheofficialPIT

I appreciate your appraisal of my work. I'll figure out a better system down the road and I'll consider a monthly comic release.

TheofficialPIT

Thanks for the suggestion but those images are not owned by me and they've been used with permission by John.

That sounds great

There are many of us who are thrilled to see you more active and spreading your wings. While I wouldn't presume to speak for anyone else, I, for one, am willing to consider more serious $$ support of your work. So consider higher tier support levels on Patreon or other methods for fans to show their support.

TheofficialPIT

My name isn't John. I'm not John Persons. I've been sending him work as ThePIT for a long time. This is my Patreon. WELCOME.

Hey Mr. Pit. Just wanted to drop in and say that I'm really happy to be supporting you. I mean it when I say that you're in a league of your own both in this specific industry and in art in general. I've started out with the current support just to see how it pans out but I'd be happy to increase it. Just that if you end up producing 20 pictures a day it has the potential to swallow my wallet. In any case, I'm glad you're back and can't wait to see what you come up with. Happy drawing, meng.

TheofficialPIT

I would never submit 20 drawings in a month or a day to patrons to try and rake in money. If I'm ever that productive I'd likely only ever charge for 4 or 5 of them in a month. I want my work to be affordable to everyone regardless of the tier they choose to opt into. If I hit some kind of inspiration where I am creating that much art every month the majority of it will be free to patrons and some of it to the public. I understand your concern for your wallet, but I'm making every one the promise now that I'll never try and gouge my fans to make some extra money by charging you for sub par work or some flood of work at any point. I grew up poor. I know the struggle of trying to make ends meet. I know how important it is to have a way to unwind and have a sexual or creative outlet. I'd never fuck that up for any one, ever.

TheofficialPIT

The business arrangement I had with John is not going to be discussed in order to appease your need for clarity on my situation. I will say that I was burned out last year with drawing the same thing over and over. I was unhappy with the way things changed with our agreement. And the forum which you seem to think was my duty to manage was no longer constructive or motivational to me. So I slowly parted ways in order to be independent. What I offer here is my art at a price I've decided. I understand why you feel like it wasn't worth your subscription there but I wasn't in charge of pricing or the content on John's site. I haven't posted on the forums in a long time. Hopefully with the way Patreon works you'll be happy to see work from me when I post it and you'll be happy with what you're paying, as there are options and you're never charged without receiving anything.

Dude, STFU. Stop being such a negative downer and be happy Pit is doing this. It's people like you that ruin shit.
