So, this is a concept that Beleriond gave me a vague idea for. I hope you all enjoy it, although I will emphasize this idea is just that, a concept. It is NOT ONE THAT I WILL FOLLOW UP ON. Seriously folks, look at all the fics that I mention in the questions segment.

A Repairman’s Tail, a HP/Fairy Tail crossover.

Natsu is out on a job, months prior to when he meets Lucy. The job, an anti-bandit gig, ends up as it always does: with Natsu causing tremendous damage to the town that made the request. Only this time, instead of getting angry and refusing to pay him all the cash, the money is split between him and another youth he’s never met. A young man with emerald eyes, glasses, and, in Natsu’s words, a kickass lightning bolt scar in the center of his forehead. Before he can ask what’s going on, the guy agrees to repair all the damage. Assuming this means that the guy is strong, Natsu challenges him to a fight first, only for Happy to be stunned and for Natsu to be left floating in midair trying to get his laughing under control as the man walks off. By the time the spells fade, the damage to the town has been repaired. Natsu tries to find his scent only to fail, and then to report to his Master, who doesn’t quite believe him, never having heard of magic like Natsu described beyond the various staffs Mystgun uses. And even then, no one would be able to use a single such wand to repair all the damage Natsu can do.

Months later, the young blonde mage meets the same young man while trying to flirt and get a reduced price on a relatively useless Celestial Key. After some back and forth, he leaves, only for her to meet both a fake and a real Salamander. Later that night, Natsu sees the same man and, seeing him repairing the damage Aquarius has done to the port, demands a rematch. Taking him by surprise and knocking the young man out when he tries to explain to the guards that he isn’t part of Fairy Tail. With Lucy and Happy’s insistence, Natsu decides to carry his victim away so he won’t be blamed for the remaining damage to the town.

Harry Potter had not been having a good few months. Interesting, sure, but not good, per se. First, he had fallen through the Veil of Death trying to save his stepfather. Then instead of being dead (something he was quite happy about) he found himself in this weird medieval world where magic was used openly and very weirdly. And that wasn’t even counting the agony he’d woken up in, or how many days he’d been unconscious from it.

After so many months since he had woken up, Harry had figured out the local language and begun to subtly search for a way home, although not holding out much hope. The Veil of Death would not have been called that if it wasn’t a one way trip after all, and the locals didn’t seem to know about other dimensions.

Moving from place to place, Harry had begun to use his unique magic to carve a name for himself, usually by cleaning up after other mages. Specifically, the repair spell had proven to be worth his weight in gold many times over. He even had been given a label: the Repairman. Not the most glamorous, but it certainly paid, and Harry had decidedly begun to squash his People Saving Thing™ for a People Helping Thing™ given the fact that while there are lots of dark mages here, there are far more good ones willing to actually fight back. Who knew?

Unfortunately, the locals could easily overpower him given surprise, which was why he found himself unconscious for the first time in months. But at least the first thing he sees this time is the image of a beautiful white-haired girl rather than the nostrils of the male doctor who’d looked after him when he first arrived. Or Pomphrey. Now if only the midget crying nearby and calling him heaven sent would be quiet…

Heh. So that was actually kind of fun to think about. Anyway, that’s the basic premise. And now for the things this fic would include if someone found a way to clone me so I could actually get through my vast list of fics:

1. Sadly, a typical Harry Potter. This Harry won’t be as changed from the base model as I normally use. He will have a somewhat better sense of humor, and might be a little more… appreciative of the female form due to the nurses of the doctor who has been looking after him helping him to get over his shyness, but beyond that, he will be the normal Fifth Year Harry Potter.

a. Go Home, Harry. Tied into the above, Harry will still be trying to find a way home. Harry hasn’t heard the prophecy or anything like that, but the last thing he knew, his friends had all been hurt following his orders, and he wants to get home to make certain they are alright. He won’t succeed, but it will add a bit to the angst overall for a time until after the Edolas arc.

b. Horcrux nope. Like in Fate, Harry’s Horcrux did not survive the journey across dimensions through the Veil. This will have had an impact on his overall magical powers – he will have access to wandless magic, although he will still need to use words for a lot of his spells.

c. No Leader: While Harry is willing to hurl himself into any trouble he sees, he has, once more, seen his friends be hurt following him into trouble. He won’t be willing to lead anyone, and will actually back away from any attempt to give him authority.

d. Sarcastic prankster. Harry will have a very snarky way of looking at the world, and will also have, in the intervening months since his arrival and awakening, embraced his prankster side.

2. Master Makarov Plays favorites. As the man with the master repair spell, Harry will quickly become Makarov’s favorite among the guild, and will be able to get nearly everything he wants from him. The old master will in general try to take Harry under his wing, becoming a far better role model than Dumbledore.

a. Home Guard. Most of the times though he will be in the guild, which will have it’s own issues at certain moments – Gajeel’s attack, Laxus’s issues, Freed’s trap around the guild. He will especially be involved in the battle against Phantom Lord… who will not like Harry’s Patronus. At All.

b. Early Tsundere Removal. Harry and Laxus will butt heads a lot, considering how weak Harry seems magically speaking in comparison to the guild’s powerhouses and how enamored Makarov is of him. This will tear Laxus off his high horse early, although how he responds to this is up in the air.

c. Makarov, pocket psychologist. Eventually, Makarov will drag out a good deal of Harry’s past, and begin to force him to ask some questions about the life he had been leading, as well as realize he won’t be able to go home.

d. Repairman Vs Lord Destructo: Harry will form a quick hate/joke relationship with Gildarts, who destroys more just walking around than even Erza, Gray and Natsu.

3. Small spells, big impact. There are a few spells I don’t use in many of my fics since they are kind of overpowered if you think about it. Impervious Spell (sorry Juvia), Flame Freeze Charm, Arresto Momentum, etc. Harry will use these spells, his guile and cunning to great effect against people who are far more powerful than him.

a. Flexibility Vs Power. Harry won’t be able to match any of the main characters in terms of power, and indeed a lot of his spells will only last on them for a very short while. For example, his Stupefy spell will only knock out Lucy (the weakest in terms of natural magical resistance) for an hour. The others, less so. He does have more destructive spells, and his charms will work a lot better than direct attack spells.

b. Yummy magic. Harry’s spells that deal with conjuring air or flame will be almost mind bogglingly tasty to Dragon Slayers. Even Gajeel will cheerfully kill someone for a transfigured bit of metal. For some reason it will just be extremely tasty.

4. In the background, but not ignored. Harry will not be going on some of the canon adventures, instead he will go on his own, along with some of the background Characters. These include Team Shadow Gear, Bisca, Alzack, and so a few of the unused background characters. This will let me both play with those characters, and will let me world build as I wish, only bringing Harry along into specific adventures. This is needed so I don’t need to worry about several different arcs.

a. Let the Magic Grow. Harry will try to learn other magics, and will in turn teach some of his spells. Most won’t work, but Levy say will be able to take his spells and turn them into runes, same with Freed. Harry will also help the guns magic users immensely and will in turn be able to learn some of their magic.

b. Mind Magic. There is a mage in Fairy Tail who can use telepathy. Harry will astonishingly be able to learn some of this from him, and come to defend his mind and strike back.

c. Weird Magic draws many eyes: Harry’s brand of magic will be almost completely unknown thanks to the sheer number of things he will be able to do with it.

5. Seven Years don’t go by so fast. Harry will not be part of the Tenrou Island Arc, and will instead stay behind. At that point, he will be forced into the leadership role, along with those who stayed behind with him. This will include Levy, who will not be promoted to S-class this time. Honestly speaking, her inclusion in canon was just to get Gajeel there, frankly. She’s a great character, but she didn’t show up to that point to be included. So there will also be one less S-class to test them.

a. Mira remains behind. I think if there was a choice as to which S-class mage would remain behind, it would be Mira. This choice was also made for a double motive…

b. Sabertooth vs Fairy. Because of Harry and Mira still being around, Fairy Tail won’t lose it’s place as the number one guild, and will instead draw in some young up and coming mages. This will incense the Sabertooth Master, who will… follow in Phantom Lord’s footsteps.

c. Raven Tail Sighting. One of the most annoying things in the original is how little the guild Raven Tail really mattered. They had been hovering in the background for a long while, apparently being put together by Ivan Dreyar to take on Fairy Tail. And then they were swept aside by Laxus so freaking easily. In this, much like in MW, I would have them become actual threats, looking to take advantage of Fairy Tail’s weakened state. They would be a long term threat, the first one to be involved in multiple story arcs.

d. No Magic Games. Harry will refuse to let the guild participate for a long while until they are formally invited by the royal family. Which won’t set off warning bells at all… no…

e. New adventures. This will allow me to create a lot of new adventures and maybe work with the characters from Alvarez and Mr. Weepy Horrible Antagonist.

f. Seven years actually matter!!! Far too few characters in Fairy Tail and elsewhere (looking at you Jenny, Two older members of Trimens) actually look/act differently than before. I believe that this is not very accurate. Even when their friends come back, their relationships should really change due to the seven years age difference.

6. Romance. This should be self-explanatory. While Harry won’t be very forward, and will for a while be obtuse about girls noticing him even as he notices them very much, Harry will eventually form real romance-type relationships with the girls around him.

a. No to redheads: In this fic, I will push against the whole ‘likes redheads’ thing I’ve used several times in previous Harry fics. Instead, he will be ambivalent towards them, so there won’t be any Erza romance. Erza will appreciate Harry, and Harry will see her as a more combative version of Hermione. They will get along, but the whole armor and redhead thing will be a turn off for Harry, whereas Erza will become interested in Natsu, who Harry will have helped realize girls are interesting (Natsu/Erza/Lisanna)

b. Lucy and Harry sitting in a tree: Lucy and Harry, coming into the guild at the same time, will be friends almost from the start. Harry will also get along well with many of her keys, and will be intensely interested in her magic hoping to use it to get home, then just because it’s interesting. Harry will also help her with rent and in the Phantom Lord arc.. Harry will be attracted to her because of her bubbly attitude, her looks (which goes both ways) and the two of them will go from innocent attraction to Teenage Typical Experimentation really quickly. This will however not stop others from Noticing Harry, and Lucy will be okay with that, so long as it isn’t occurring behind her back, because she will be a little bit bi herself – something she will have realized due ot her distant infatuation with Mirajane through her magazine shoots. If this relationship will be rekindled after seven years is a major question…

c. Main Maid Mira: It turns out that a big sister type who can cook and kick butt if need be will hit a lot of Harry’s buttons. At first Harry will be attracted to her because Mira is both gorgeous and soft spoken, with a lot of qualities Harry would have looked for in a girlfriend back in his old life. But after learning she can kick ass, that will make it even better since they will be able to mesh so well as a team. Conversely, Harry will attract Mira due to his good looks, his mysterious past, and his immensely helpful nature/magic. His pranks will also be hilarious to her, and the fact he is able to look after himself both in a fight and in life (he has money, can cook, clean, etc) will be attractive to her. This romance will be somewhat slower to go all the way, as Mira is more experienced than Lucy or Harry and also isn’t the type to let her hormones control her, but the two of them will be the first two to have a real romantic moment and will also be fully together by the time of the Seven-Year skip, something that will impact Mira’s decision to stay behind.

d. Guns and Wands: I think like Mira would be attracted to one another – Harry has some of the same features that would canonically attract Bisca to Alzack, but he is a harder worker, and is going to be a bit more prankish and flirty. This will in turn bring out Bisca’s desire for much the same, and much like Mira, Harry’s humor and reliability will be major attractions. Bisca will slowly turn away from Alzack, while Harry won’t even realize the two were a near-thing, being kind of socially obtuse about such things, although a final shift won’t happen until the Seven Years hits, where Harry will be the one to truly step up to the plate, and take charge, the sight of which will be the final hit needed to break down Bisca’s lack of interest in joining the Mira/Harry relationship. She will be the only girl who doesn’t come into the relationship with bi-feelings towards other girls already, though she will start to like it after a bit of experimentation.

e. Power attracts, but brainy ones are sexy: Minerva would become very attracted to Harry for his wits and ability to beat her father. While she has become jaded by her father’s actions up to this point, his swift and humiliating defeat begins the process of breaking her world view, leaving Minerva open to considering other philosophies… while her own interaction with Harry intrigues her, and her interaction with Mira makes her annoyed enough to want to steal Harry from the demon girl. That thought process will fade eventually, but will not go away entirely, for a bit, as she competes with Mira for Harry’s affections, not realizing that her interest in him has become something far softer, while Harry in turn will be somewhat interested in Minerva, coming from his own horrible home life and understanding her to a certain extent.

Shorter than a normal outline I know, but I think this is enough to show where I would go with this fic.

Honestly sounds pretty amazing. Now how is your cloning process going, so you could actually have a chance for all these story ideas? :-D

You may complain about us pestering you for more stories, but when you give us these wonderful little teases? You must be a glutton for punishment but giving us these only makes us want them more! 😁

I figure if i keep doing it your combined brain power will reach critical mass and you will come up with a way to clone me.
