A Few Ranma Type Questions (Patreon)

And now for yet another round of questions. This time I am going to split these up into two different posts. My Ranma questions will be here, my HP questions in another post.

My reasoning for this is simple. I wish to open up this posts also so that you, my readers, can ask me questions. I’ve tried this before, and it didn’t work out for various reasons, but I wish to attempt it again LOL. So if you have any Ranma questions – they don’t have to be specific to a story – post them here. If you have HP specific questions, post them over on the other thread. If you have questions like ‘what do you think about this anime/show’ post them wherever, although realize I don’t watch much beyond completed anime seasons and some historical shows.

First I was asked recently which fics I’d start up when ATP/FILFycome to an end. That is easy: GDWHOM once FILFy finishes. I would hope that by that time Semblance of Hope is also at the stopping point I want it to reach, and then would bring back Sword, Bow and Horse for the patron poll. Remember I am going to put it on hold after the next chapter, where we will finish up with the events in Brune. That would make the patron poll between two Ranma fics and two HP fics.  And yes, that means at that point, Death’s Avenger would become a full-fic sized instead of episode style.

Although knowing my luck that just means that Making Waves will be finished before the Semblanceepisodes.

Beyond that… I don’t know. I’d like to get into Heroes of the High Seas, but that idea doesn’t seem to have enough backing among you all. The last thing I want to do is bring back a paused story that would just be among those who don’t get updated often.  I’d also really like to get back into my Homage fic. Call it silly, but that could be a lot of fun.

As for taking on new fics? I think at least three of my current fics need to be finished before I start up something new. As for what… well, if ATP ends, I think it would be fascinating to start up my Ranma/DC crossover and see what people think. On the other hand if I finish both those HP stories, I would feel compelled to also look at one of my other HP crossover ideas, possibly my HP/RWBY crossover.

Now, onto the actual questions (and how this post will differ from the HP one, LOL).

First of all, since it won the small story poll, Stallion of the Line:

1. I am interested in setting up a Kizaru/Raffy rivalry, either in Shabondy or in Whitebeard’s War. But when I look for a video or something about their devil fruits, it always includes the individual in question as well (Kizaru pwns Enel every time) so I am hoping you all can share your opinions on this matchup.

2. Is it just me, or looking back on it, was Whitebeard’s crew a bit… underpowered in comparison to what we have seen of the two other Yonko who have since been introduced? Whitebeard vs Charlotte or Kaidou, Whitebeard wins, sure. But the rest of their crews? I realize that the author had to make the new enemies stronger and all that, but it doesn’t make much sense lore wise, unless they were all just resting on their laurels. Or Whitebeard alone was that powerful?

3. How is everyone enjoying Laki? I am curious since she’s such a blank slate and I’ve been basically creating her personality and combat style as we go along.

4.  Should Jinbei still join the crew, or just be an ally? I would like to keep the ‘crew of dreamers’ theme, and I don’t remember any mention about his. I also would not like to introduce an OP character like him who could further marginalize the secondary fighters like Franky, Chopper and the girls.

Second, Horse for the Force:

1. This is a big one: in everyone’s opinion, are Sora Bulq, Ventress, and Vosa enough in terms of smarts and ability to act as protagonists if Sidious dies? I am seriously debating whether or not, confronted with Ranma’s taunting - with all the myriad ways Ranma’s fucked up his plans thrown in his face – and abilities, that Sidious would just lose his shit entirely and be unable to remember his escape plan. I AM NOT SAYING it would be an easy fight. Just that he wouldn’t get away to fight another day. Which would leave Bulq to continue the Great Plan…

2. Tied into the above. If Sidious escapes, what would the response of the various Confederacy factions be? Remember, the war isn’t even a year old yet, but there have been a lot of tragedies, and Kuat’s destruction. I am just wondering if Sidious is in a position to remove those leaders and take command at this point in the Great Plan. My gut instinct is to say any attempt for him or Bulq to do so would fail or would splinter the CIS. But I would like to hear/read your opinion here.

And last, Making Waves:

1. Children and weddings. Should Ranma have some kids with Erza/Juvia/Jenny before the end of the story, or should I do as I did in Horse of the Dead and end the story with their decision to do so? Further, should weddings occur in this story? I’ve recently been reminded that at this point, some kind of means to formalize their relationships should be looked into, and I am debating how to go about it.

2. Sting and Rouge. What the heck should I do with them? Are they even interesting enough to introduce at all?

3. This is a big one. With all the changes I’ve made, does it make any sense to have that whole dragons from the past coming to attack thing which happened at the end of the Grand Magic games occur here? You’ll note I am not asking about the games themselves. They aren’t happening. I loathe tournament shit.
