June2021 Small Story Poll Results (Patreon)

Okay guys, it is time to shut down the small story poll! And as always, here is also a sit rep of the rest of the work going on this month. Que dramatic pause...

This chapter of FILFy Teacher has fought me every step of the way. I basically ran into several instances of writers blocks, which had me skip scenes only to realize, shit that needs work and it’s a big scene, and oh wait, Harry’s got a lot more resources he could call on, doesn’t he, and Argh, the Chaos Brigade needs to do this, and that, and oh, let’s have the villains do this.  But, it is finally done, and again I covered nearly the entire aspect of ‘research’ in one chapter. It’s off to the first editor, and after that, I will be sending it off to a second to give it a grammar polish.

On the plus side, I was forced to step away and do some other work several times.  The next episode style update for Semblance of Hope is within a day of being finished. I’m still having issues with the whole underground battle against a dragon thing – the action isn’t good enough. But I was satisfied by Smaug and the thieving twosome’s interactions. So I should be able to get both of those done. But I wish to prioritize the winner of this poll, so the editors have more time to go over it.

Thus without further ado, here are the results of the small story poll:

In last place, bizarrely, was ATP 1,167 total, 114 from fanfic. Weird…

GDWHOM came in third place with 1,372 despite taking in only 54 votes over on fanfic.

Magic of the Force came in first over on fanfic at 132 but only second overall, with a total of 1969.

Buoyed by two of my editors voting for it and my other editors being split every which way is Stallion of the Line. It won 75 votes on fanfic, and had a total of 2,357 votes. Overwhelming victory.
