To help with Zoro's orientation problem, could you get the DoorDoor fruit to one of his swords? Will he gain the allegiance of Spandam's elephant sword? The seastone is not that rare, just steal it from the navy ships. The giant toad will definitely want to join the crew to follow Franky.

No, he could not because the Door-Door fruit is a Paramecia and only Zoan type fruits can be given to inanimate objects. Furthermore, only Dr Vegapunk knows the technique to making an object "eat" a devil fruit barring the rare happenstance where it occurs naturally of course. I highly doubt that Zoro will gain the allegiance of Funkfreed. His character is that of a "pure" swordsman who disdains the use of abilities like those granted by devil fruits.
