Hey everybody, sorry about the announcement yesterday. I’ve never had a problem with allergy (dust) related issues before, this was a first for me. Thanks to Stephen Jones and Ranma Sean Dasanteki Monroe for their concern over my health, but I am right as rain now.

Anyway, first let me address two points then we can get on to the Patron only poll for this month.

The Future of Bhaalspawn and the Patreon Only Poll: One thing that several people mentioned was that they were worried about me cancelling Bhaalspawn Remodel. This is not going to happen. While I honestly don’t like the Gamer system (too clunky) I love the characters too much to give it up. Minsc is one of my favorite characters of all time, and who doesn’t like a snarky elfin woman? Or Tonks/Imoen? The real test of this story will be the inclusion of Viconia, when we get to her. I simply want to be certain that both Ranma and HP fans have an even chance to vote for a story every month.

Several other people mentioned they were worried about me starting up another story when only AGGC is coming to an end. This is a very valid concern, one I have mentioned several times before. Thank you to those who noticed this and mentioned it.

So, since this was a weighted poll, Here you are:

In last place, thankfully for the state of my muse-driven mad mind, was the idea of adding another HP/crossover concept chapter thereby making the vote 2 versus 2. It brough in only 372 votes.

Next, alas, was the idea of adding Heroes of the High Seas into the rotation. It scored 468. This was somewhat sad since I rather like the premise of that fic and the characters of My Hero Academia. Sorry Tomon, Tellimicus Sundance

Letting Bhaalspawn have a win every three months was right in the center of the poll with 718.

The HP/Ranma concept one a lot of votes, bringing in 1,490.  Not certain what to think about this honestly, since this poll was about giving my HP fans equal chances in the monthly patron poll. But at the same time, maybe this fic could have made both sides happy? I’m still not quite pleased with my ability to write a fic with two main male leads though, so I am happy it didn’t, in the end, win.

Because in the lead, with 1564 was the idea of just adding Fate into the Patron Only poll instead of the small story poll. So that is what we are going to go for in the future guys. I’m happy this happened, because as I said, while coming up with new story ideas is fun, I have no desire to start up a new fic at this time. But this way, the HP fans among you get another story to vote for if you can’t stand the Gamer subgenre.

Now on to the actual August Patron Only Story Poll:

Sword bow and Horse – Ranma/Vanadis crossover: Winter continues on it’s course as Ranma solo adventures across the wintry expanse on a search for books of all things, while Elen and Tigre deal with assassins both foreign and domestic. Valentina and Sofy continue to coexist unwillingly as they head to the capital, where arguments and information await in equal measure. Lim and Elen have a heart to heart talk, a Vanadis is questioned in absentia, and armies begin to gather supplies in preparation to move when the thaws start elsewhere, while in Brune, the war between Thenardier and Ganelon turns hot. Ranma arrives at his destination, only to learn that nothing in his life can ever be simple, before heading home with the prize.

Bhaalson Remodel – HP/Gamer/Baldur’s Gate crossover: Rest and recuperation is in the cards as Harry and co spend a single night in the dungeon, before heading back to the Mother Dryad’s pavilion. During these breaks, Harry makes some decisions, thinks about a valuable lesson, and analyzes some phat loot among other things. He and Minsc bond over the concept of heroism, while Harry takes another step to deciding on what god to swear his sword to. Jaheira nurses Dynaheir back to health, the woman waking up and being somewhat out of sorts, a state of being that spreads, and worsens as she learns about the deal made with Edwin. The group moves on to Nashkel, with only a few tiny bumps in the road, where they revive their allies. A leaving is taken, arguments occur, oaths are made, and the group, after once more tooling up, head into the mines.

(Due to the length of time that has passed since it was last updated, my votes will go to Bhaalson Remodel this month)

Fate Touched in Middle Earth – HP/Tolkien crossover: After a bit of discussion, Harry has a close encounter, Bilbo is nearly stepped on before getting his revenge. A plan is enacted, much to the eventual chagrin of dwarves who suddenly find themselves parcels on the river of life, complete with all the bumps and dangers, as the elves furiously search for their quarry. They are not the only ones, alas, and the wild river becomes even wilder as orcs and elves compete with one another to who will capture/kill the dwarves. Tauriel makes a decision, the dwarves enjoy the concept of buoyancy a bit more, before being picked up and taken to the town on the river, with an extremely bedraggled scout and wizard bemoaning their lot in life. Meanwhile, Gandalf wakes up to an interrogation, which is interrupted. The council attacks with a fury not seen since the battle of Dagorlad, but too late, and Gandalf, though wounded, decides he must find Harry and the dwarves, warning them of the trouble to come.

Making Waves is not on here for two reasons: one, I haven’t posted the latest chapter yet, so couldn’t give you all a preview of it. For another, I am not happy with my understanding of how Hades – the Grimoire Heart Guild Master, fights. Nor Zeref’s character, Natsu’s part in the chapter, and even Juvia’s. Further, the fights in the last chapter were not the ones I said they would be going in, my muse just not cooperating with a few of the original matchups. I think depending on the changes I make to the July chapter after justlovereadin’ has seen it I might want to rewrite the outline for the next chapter.

This poll will close on the 16th.

Sword and Fate, damn....going for Sword because of the severe lack of good Vanadis fics

Exactly the point. There are none. And damn few even remotely looking like they have a chance for an update :(
