A Few Opinion questions (Patreon)

Hello all. So I have had a few thoughts, a few questions and a few opinion points I was wondering about, which I thought I’d get some input on. Most of these are small so I won’t be breaking them up into different posts. As always I have labeled each segment by the fic the question has to deal with.

First Patron stuff:

1. What does everyone think about the story rotation I’ve been using for my Patron-only and Large Story polls? Is it working, do you find it fair, do you think it’s unfair or don’t care about fairness and just want to see your favorite story updated lol?

2. I have mentioned the idea of wanting to see a 2:2 ratio in my monthly updates. That is, two Ranma and two HP fics updated per month. This has very rarely happened since that’s a lot of writing and RL gets in the way no matter what I try, but I thought up a semi-solution. What would everyone think of seeing omakes from the loser in that ratio? What I mean is, say if Harry wins two polls to one for Ranma, and I can’t get to the second small story which would also be a Ranma fic, I would then write up a few omakes for one of my existing stories. 

This isn’t a question, it’s more of a statement. I’ve noticed a few people who have stopped following me here on Patreon put down as their reason that they weren’t happy with my services or didn’t receive the rewards or benefits described. I can’t apologize for the polls going against personal choices, that’s just how voting works LOL, but somehow I feel as if this is a communication thing as well. Now that might just be me, but I want to say it plainly: if you are having problems with accessing the pages, the works I’ve shared here, or just have suggestions for how to make my Patreon page better, please, reach out to me via the message system. I can’t promise to get back to you quickly, but I will get back to you within a few days. Together we can work out the problem, or maybe we can help each other and make my page that much better.

FILFy:

1. Are mummies and so-forth coming back to life overdone? I’ve hinted about the problems in Egypt, but I haven’t gone into any details. Still, it just seems to me that mummies and so forth have been done far too much, especially given how rich Egyptian history is with other things. 

2. This is a question for those who have read the light novels: is the 666 breaking out thing interesting, or blargh?. I read the light novels up to a certain point, but frankly, they started to give me distinct Dragonball (RAAAAAHHHH power up, nothing matters but the MC’s POOWWEER) vibes, so I stopped soon after the peace talks. I like to see character growth in all the characters, not just one and not just in strength either. I’m just wondering if I should introduce the 666 plot point, or just nip it in the bud so his breaking out or whatever doesn’t become an issue.

GDWHOM:

1. If I were to keep one of the two exorcists around along with Gabriel, who should I use? Please don’t just tell me a name, I’d like some reasons behind it, please.

Bhaalson Remodel:

1. I am fiddling with two ideas here that I want peoples opinions on, and both of them fall under the heading of Gamer type interaction:

a. Boss villains. These obviously existed in the original, but they weren’t called that. I am wondering if I should make a big deal about them, link them to good loot, to Gamer powers etc. 

b. In BG and BG 2 you could pause the game at any point, even in combat. You couldn’t move your troops or interact with the physical world, but you could give your party members orders during this time, which obviously gave you an advantage in combat.  My question is, is that advantage too much?  Or is it simply necessary? 

2. What does everyone think of how I am using the characters? Any complaints, suggestions on how I write them?

Stallion of the Line: 

1. Devil Fruit Awakening. For info on this topic check out the fight between Doffy and Luffy. We know NOTHING (a big fat 0!!) of how so-called Awakening happens. But in fandom, there have been a few ideas. I am just wondering if anyone has an idea about how Awakenings would work if they are at all interesting. I am not happy with the idea of the DF having to be merged with, or having sentience, but I would like to see what other people think about what could be the trigger for such an Awakening.
