October Poll Results (Patreon)

Hello all.  Well it is the 14th, and that means it is time to close the polls! 

As is normal at this point I will give a sitrep: I have sent off Making Waves to Michael Duggan for small mistake editing. This way he can hopefully look it over, get it back to me and be ready to look over ATP once it is finished. After Michael’s done with MW, it will go to Justlovereadin’ and Hiryo for their take on the FT and Ranma side of things respectively. ATP is about a third of the way done – I have the one combat section fully written out and ready to go (8,000 words, finished it in a day… don’t judge me) and the rest written via DNS but taking that and turning it into a final product will take another 4 to 5 days. 

Now on to the poll results!

In the Patron Only story pole, Bhaalson Remodel came first, with 964. In second place was Sword, Bow and Horse, with 712. Climbing Together brought in 539 votes, while, alas, Heroes of the High Seas brought in 317.

I would like to thank everyone who voted for Climbing Together and Heroes. It’s important to me that even if my established fics take home the gold, that people enjoy my story ideas. But this time, the allure of ‘Minsc, Boo, Harry and Tonks too’ was too strong to handle.

In the small story poll… now here, we run into problems. Since it was pretty obvious early on that Bhaalson would win, I decided to put my own votes into this poll in a different way than I had planned to initially: that is, to get Fate Touched updated at last. I always prefer to put out 2:2, that is, two Ranma fics, and two HP fics per month, regardless of the size of each fic. Because of this…

In last place, AGGC, 420. In Fourth place, Semblance of Hope, 456. Both of these were sunk, I feel, by a poor showing over on fanfic, with 44 going to Semblance, and 72 votes for AGGC. That, and I think a lot of sing voters went for GDWHOM or Stallion.

And speaking of my Ranma/Highschool DxD cross, it came in third place, with a 143 votes coming in from fanfic, and a total of 611.

But it was utterly wrecked by the second place winner, which brought in a whopping 1,481 total, with 312 coming in from fanfic. This was Fate Touched, getting the votes it needed to, if not for my desire to put out 2:2 be updated.

But because of that… the winner was Stallion of the Line. Without my votes, it would have gotten 183 votes from fanfic and enough Patreon votes to reach 1122. With my own votes of 400 added in, that makes it top out at 1522.

BUT DO NOT DESPAIR Fate Touched fans. Because I have looked at my schedule, and I believe that I may be able to get both it and Stallion out this month on top of Bhaalson, ATP and MW. MW was a shorter chapter, as was ATP than normal, so it is possible. And, because without my votes added in it would have won, it will has priority over Stallion after the HP/BG/Gamer fic is sent off to the editor. 

This of course also means that Stallion will be updated either this month or early the next, so those of you who voted for it should take heart in that as well. 

So there we go, my attempt to make both my HP, Ranma, and ‘likes both’ fans happy. And while I know these results won’t please everyone, I can at least hope the majority of you are. Once more, thank you for voting, and I hope as always to see you all continue to vote into the future.
