August 2024 Ranma Poll (Patreon)

Happy Saturday, guys, and thank fuck it is the weekend.  This week has been horrible for fic writing time.  Just… flipping horrible.  First I get sick, then there are a few issues with my house that all somehow came to roost at the same problem.  First time home owner, folks. 

But it should settle down from here on, and I did finish the fight scene in MW.  I had made a MAJOR mistake, and simply didn’t realize I needed to ask for an opinion until I had already written out half the fight scene, which I then had to scrap, along with several segments of another scene.  UGH.  So annoying to have so much trouble with a chapter that was less than 30,000 words. UGH X 4. 

Anyway, I’m sorry it took me until now to get these polls out.  A reminder though, we’ve already had the August Patron Only Poll.  You folks who voted for King of Champions will at least be pleased that the outline’s done.  I should be able to finish it around the eighth. 

So without further ado, the choices are:

 Gods and Devils and Wild Horses, Oh My – Ranma/Highschool DxD crossover: Instead of formally meeting the local Devil Clan, Rias is introduced to Diodora on the fly as they try their best to get a handle on the aftermath of Ranma’s fight with Copycat Ken.  Shouting and finger pointing occurs, until both agree to assume half the blame and spread around the memory modification spells liberally.  Rias becomes suspicious, but doesn’t question things yet, instead meeting with Ranma and ripping into him as Diodora ‘captures’ Copycat Ken, both becoming aware only then of what occurred to Asia and Saeko. Diodora attempts to smarm before making an exit stage right as Ranma becomes furious at both the threat to Asia he missed and the fun fight that came with it.  Rika becomes quite suspicious, wondering about Diodora and everything else.  Tales are shared, and a plan prepared, while Shizuka shows a surprising side to her.  With Rika on guard, Saeko goes on a very odd journey, while Mousse ninjas and Ranma and Rias distract.  Diodora performs one last oopsie, and Rias decides to nip this problem in the bud in a very Ranma manner: by punching it.

Stallion of the Line – Ranma/One Piece crossover:  Luffy, with Hancock trailing after him, head back towards the center of the battle. Elsewhere, Doffy reflects on his good fortune and the mistakes of the elderly, while Garp tries to thread a line between doing what is right, and doing what is best for his family.  A confrontation between Garp, Sengoku, and Peter occurs while Whitebeard feels his age acting up,  Lightning crashes as Ranma diverts for a moment, with only Kizaru fast enough to counter.  The Whitebeard Fleet begins to pull away, with Ace and Aokiji calling a halt to their own battle.  Akainu obeys an order, while Peter rages and Ranma taunts. After Garp has left to do what he thinks is the right Sengoku proves he can hurt Luffy and Ace is forced to retreat to the Whitebeard fleet.  Jozu and Marco link up with him, the three facing two Admirals as Luffy pins down Kizaru.  An order is given and very reluctantly Ace and his fellow division commanders retreat. A badly wounded Whitebeard remains, while elsewhere, Garp and many others try to stop the mass breakout of Level 6 inmates. The battle draws to a close, but not without one final clash…

Yes, the fact I am posting this poll first should tell you my priorities after King of Champions is done.  The Ranma poll will end on the 11th.  After that, FILFy will be my third priority this month. The next chapter will be half-segue/world building, then the opening moves of the next confrontation.  That confrontation, folks will happen in OCTOBER.  And that chapter will, like a black hole, effect everything around it. Thus this month, the HP poll will be my fourth priority.  

OH, and astonishingly, Stallion will be getting the quarter carry over.
