May 2024 Ranma only Poll Results (Patreon)

Okay… so, editing for lore correctness and Grammarly checking cost me around three days or so, and around 2,500 words per day.  It slows me down, but I think it makes the chapters better.  Not so much the fact that my use of commas is apparently all over the place, but in terms of weird ass sentences via Dragon Naturally Speaking, missing words, and so forth. 

Anyway, it is time to end the Ranma poll.  Yes, that means Death’s Avenger is done.  It’s a medium sized chapter, and covers the total of the summary, which is good.  It is off to the editors, Tomon and Alex Crate.  Alex already, after a single day, got it back to me, but I will wait for a bit to see if Tomon can look it over for me.  And Tomon, if you are listening, remember you don’t have to edit for details!  Just lore check.  Don’t look at the light, my dude!  LOL. 

Now to the actual poll results:

In last place, which is honestly no surprise, is Heroes of the high Seas.  I thought it would do better over on fanfic, but it only brought in 17 there, and, well…. Very few of you are pure MHA fans, so in comparison to more established stories, it will probably keep losing. It’s total was only 577. 

In second place, with 566 from the 1/4  (QUARTER) brought over from the carry over effect, is Gods and Devils and Wild Horses, Oh My, of 2,345. It brought in 38 votes from fanfic.  Interesting.

But in first place, with only 55 votes from fanfic and no help from me or the carry over, is Stallion of the Line.  A total of 2,368.

NICE.  Really close, really good, and a sign that the quarter carry over is the way to go. It helps fics who haven’t won, but it also can still be overcome by the voters.  Excellent.  So the question now is, should I keep going with the quarter into the next month, or just take the Ranma poll out for the month and update GDWHOM because if I carry over a thousand plus votes by going with my original plan of upping the carry over back to half and remove Heroes, shifting that back over to the patron only poll, then it is going to win hands down.  I will be interested to see what you all think of that issue.
