YAAARGG, me Seekers! 🥰🥰🥰

I am so happy to come to you once again to introduce you some of the in game explorations of the looks and functionality! Because as you well know, this Cap'n main duty is making sure that things look the way they should! And what a team we have to make such an endeavor happen!! 😍😍😍

Nova Can't Help It But To Look Awesome! 👁️👄👁️

The first thing that might have calle your attention, my lovely Seeker, is Nova's charming attitude on the gif at the beginning of the post; though Patreon doesn't deal very well with videos, we can defeat the system and bring an approximation of how it is looking so far!! 😱😱😱

Since the beginning of this journey we planned the use of different lightings per scene, and until now it was all theory and truly trusting in the process. But now, FINALLY we put most of the pieces together, and they are working so good together!! Here you can see Nova in different light setups, and thought the changes are subtle, they add enormously to the whole!

But a pretty picture, animation or even interaction alone isn't enough! For making Soulgasm a game we need a user interface that makes the dialog, context and interactions way easier to follow and understand.

We have also managed to put together these screenshots of what you will find in your journey to mastering Eromancy. And let me tell you, my Seeker, we feel very proud of them!

A Way To Deal With Missing Assets 💡

One of the main issues we have is the art bottleneck, a game of the size of Soulgasm requires A LOT of art and many pieces are way more complex than just a painting, drawing or animation. Many of them require extra care and dedication both creative and technical. 

This means that in occasions we find ourselves in a plateau for certain assets and development such as dialog rigs, which happen to be the most complex aspect of our game! And so, in order not to fail you, my Seekers, we have decided to implement a somewhat comical approach to this issue:

Presenting you, the cardboard placeholders!!

Meant to be a momentary solution, we are planning to have cardboard characters as placeholders to have them present, yet making it clear they will be replaced/updated with a final/functional version as soon as they are ready!

We hope this will bring you some giggles and remind you that Soulgasm has yet a lot of space for improvements!

Final Thoughts 💭

We feel we are rapidly reaching the quality we dreamed of delivering to you. I must admit these have been a very scary couple of months: the degree of uncertainty if we would be able or not to reach this point of quality and size of a game was getting to our nerves!

Now that we have finally reached this point, we feel confident in our capacity to deliver the experience we planned for you. And it is only a matter of time!! 😍😍😍
