FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions (Patreon)

Ahoy, Sailors! For a while now, we've been getting questions about the game's development and what it's going to be like. And so, we are gathering the Frequently Asked Questions and answering them below! We will be updating this section with the new questions appearing later on :3

Technical:

Q: What platforms will 'Soulgasm' be on?

A: It will be for PC for sure, yet we are planning to make it mobile as well!

Q: Any idea what engine will the team be using?

A: The game is being developed in Unity

Q: Is there going to be a separate Discord Server?
A: Yes! Initially, we wanted to keep it together with Popcorn Universe, but having listened to some smart voices, we have decided to create a new Discord Server for the Game. And you are Invited! 

Q: Can I join the development?

A: The core team is complete now, and additional members will join us later at various development stages. Yet if we still need hands on deck, we will post announcements!

The game will be voiced so we will be looking for a VA! Contact us if you are interested!

About the game:

Q: What kind of characters will be in the game? For example, will Eria and Farah be there?
A: We don’t want to spoil so much just yet, my cherry beans, but since we have already shown some sketches of our favourite pink lady, we can confirm she is indeed invited to the party!

Q: Will the game be voiced?

A: Yes, it will! Including the dialogues and spicy scenes!

Q: What kinda fetish/naughty stuff is gonna be in-game?

A: Soulgasm will feature a unique set of characters to interact with. Our goal is to give you a game that you can replay and feel it will be a fresh new experience every single time! We know our players’ imagination is rich and diverse – and we love it that way!

Characters in the game will represent a wide range of body types and features. Whether you like your partners short or tall, slim or curvy, big- or small-breasted, we got you covered!

Our characters are people with their own desires, emotions and motivations. Some may like it rough, others will have special needs. Yet most importantly, they will all have their own personalities. You may love them or hate them, but you won’t be able to forget them 🥰.

Q: Wait, are you telling me there will there be various game endings?

A: We are creating a game that you will want to replay many times to go through all the possible endings, and all possible companions ;)

Q: Who's the main character? Can I play as a woman?
A: You can play the game from the point of view of a male protagonist!

About Patreon Rewards:

Q: What is the personal signature that can be found in-game?
A: From a funny face painted somewhere on the wall, to a ‘Simon was here’ scratch on the table and a memorial entry in the House guestbook. We shall immortalize you in-game on one of the many ways we can! So many possibilities!

Q: What is the personal portrait that can be found in-game?
A: When the time comes, we will reach out to you for your persona to make an appearance on a painting in-game! This means you will receive a portrait (or other mutually agreed painting) that, additionally, will be hanging somewhere on the wall, will be included in an in-game book story, or will stand as a decoration in a frame on the desk in one of the House's rooms. We shall find the best pick together!

Q: Do we have to back the game via Patreon to get it, or will it be released elsewhere too?

A: The game release is way off from today! Seems so far, yet we want to make sure that Soulgasm's backers shall receive it first for their trust in our promise.

Q: I signed up for the cinnamon cappuccino tier (10$) since I’m interested in the special code and, of course, the spice 👀.  But depending on my monthly finances, if I reduce to the 5$ tier and come back later, would I still receive the code when getting the game?

A: Absolutely! The team will have to do a bit of bookkeeping, but it's enough to jump to the 10$  tier just once to get the code.

Q: If I can only support one Patreon, is it more helpful to sub to the new one to help get it off the ground or stick to the old one?
A: We recommend you to stick to the old one so you can still receive Captain’s booty! Supporting CptPopcorn also means supporting the Soulgasm game development!

Q: How do I check how many Patrons the new Patreon has? It doesn't have a goal tracker like the last one.

A: We are also a bit disappointed with Patreon removing the goals widget. We will look into tinkering something by ourselves so we can keep this information too as transparent as it gets! In the meantime, the number of Patrons should be visible on the ‘about’ page when you log out from Patreon, or if you open it in an incognito tab (404 logic not found!)
