Chapter 254: A world of light

"There is no way such a thing exists!" Shouted one of the marines after hearing Vivi.

"We do not choose the names of our devil fruits. It is a knowledge that comes unrequested after eating them." Explained Fujitora.

"Of course, Sir." Spoke to the Captain.

"But she is definitely lying!. There is no such thing as a Divine Zoan. Even the former Fleet Admiral Sengoku never referred to his Budah fruit as Divine."

Nami frowned and was about to scream at the Captain when Fujitora spoke again.

"I am a blind man but all of my other senses are as sharp as my blade. Not many could deceive me with words…she is not lying. Besides, I can feel something different in her aura. Something I have never felt before…is hard to describe, but whatever it is, is getting more intense."

The marines were still skeptical but none of them would dare to question the words of an Admiral.

"Divine you say… " Kizaru's mouth twisted into a mocking grin.

"Then today, I'm taking down a Goddess!"

Vivi's answer to his taunt was a water blast to his chest.

She then screamed and increased the pace of her attacks.

A mass of water came out of her body like a bullet and approached Kizaru.

This one moved out of the way but the water changed directions and chased after him. Changing forms and attacking from all angles, making it look like a living creature.

Every ten attacks, maybe only one of them managed to connect, but it was progress as far as she was concerned.

The satisfied smug on Kizarus's face was nowhere to be seen.

The Admiral looked now very serious as he focused on avoiding her attacks.

Kizaru gave a painful grunt as a spear made of ice pierced his foot.

"Having trouble there, Admiral?" Vivi taunted.

In truth, she was starting to feel exhausted. During her training, she has never kept this form for more than a few seconds.

She had to finish this fight quickly,  and then find a way to grab Nami and run way from the other Admiral. She hoped to still have enough stamina for that.

"Yata no Kagami." Kizaru was not willing to let this continue.

He created several mirrors of light and spread them around the area. This allowed him to instantly travel between them.

Kizaru disappeared in a flash of light and the next moment, there were eight exact copies of the Admiral running around.

Vivi recalled the mass of water and kept it orbiting around her while keeping track of all the copies.

Her observation haki was not of much help as the Admiral was extremely good at hiding his aura and the clones did not have any to begin with.

The clones rushed at her, wielding swords made of pure light in their hands.

With no way to discern which one was the real one. Vivi opted for a wide-range attack.

She turned the mass of water orbiting around her into the shape of a hula hop and made it spin as fast as possible.

The speed of the rotation turned the inoffensive body of water into a blade sharp enough to think steel with no issues.

Vivi then made it expand outwards. The clones disappear as soon as they come into contact with the waterblade. Leaving only one…the last Kizaru, who had jumped in the air to avoid the blade.

The real Kizaru made a vertical slash aimed at her head.

Vivi opted for dividing her whole body into two, allowing the blade to pass by the empty space left behind while preparing her counterattack.

The first Vivi lunged at Kizaru, grabbing him by the waist while the other took a step back.

The clone attached to Kizaru's waist transformed into an ice sphere the size of a basketball with the two arms still holding onto the Admiral.

Kizaru realized her intentions and started to turn his body into light particles to free himself and move away, but before he was able to escape her grasp, the ice casing exploded like a grenade.

Kizaru let out a painful sound before he disappeared in a flash of light, reappearing a short distance away.

He was holding his belly where a red stain grew in size.

'Yes!, he is hurt! Now is my chance.' Vivi celebrated. This was the first time she was able to inflict a serious injury on her opponent. She could not let this chance go. If he recovers, then it will be too late.

Her vision was starting to become blurry from exhaustion and she knew that she was close to losing consciousness.

Ignoring her state, she pushed her body past its limits and moved closer to him.

With a quick motion, her right arm turned into a torrent of water. Her plan was to change it into a mass of spikes right before impact. If any of the spikes was able to pierce his skin, then, she could be able to extend them while inside his body, destroying his internal organs like she did with Diamante.

Even a logia user will die if you damage their vital organs.

She was barely able to discern Kizarus's angry face right before everything went wrong and he said the last words she wanted to hear.

"Awakening: Hikari no Sekai."
