Chapter 253: What devil fruit is that?

"What is that?!" the marines exclaimed in alarm after seeing Vivi transform.

"Wasn't she a logia? how is she transforming?"

"Vivi…" Nami said with worry. She has only seen Vivi use that form once and after using it, she passed out from exhaustion.

" A mythical zoan." Said Admiral Fujitora.

" Sometimes they allow for some limited control of an element, making them appear like a logia user."

"What kind of monster did she transform into?" asked a marine.

Vivi had grown to twice her normal size. Instead of legs, her lower side looked like a torrent of water in perpetual movement and her upper body was made of something translucent in between solid and liquid. Her hair was composed of strands of water that floated unnaturally in the air and her eyes were completely white, shining brightly and giving her a very harrowing look.

"Is that some sort of sea creature? I never seen one like that."

"Me neither, but that thing is very creepy, let's hope the Admiral ends it soon."

The Marines commented.

Nami became enraged and started to shout obscenities at them.

The marine Captain approached her and gave Nami a punch on her stomach strong enough to lift her in the air.

"Shut up you pirate scum. You'll get your turn soon enough."

Nami fell down and started to cough while gasping for air.

"Captain!" Shouted Fujitora with a tone much louder than his usual one.

"That is not how we treat our prisoners!"

The Captain was startled by the pressure emanating from the Admiral.

"Yes sir!, my apologies. I lost my temper." He was quick to correct himself.

"Make sure you don't lose it again then." Added the Admiral.

"And help her up."

Nami was unable to stand with her arms cuffed so the Captain was forced to help her, much to his displeasure.

Vivi clenched her fists. As much as she wanted to go there and destroy those marines, she had to keep her focus on Kizaru. But she was not going to forget about this.

'They will pay for this… especially that bastard who dared to-"

A water shield appeared in front of her just in time to stop a kick from Kizaru, who had appeared out of nowhere.

"That's good. Don't get distracted. Show me what else you can do!"

Kizaru was rarely angry with someone. But he truly hated this woman who humiliated him in front of his men.

Kizaru sent a punch. His fist was made of light. With a deadly combination of speed and heat, he was able to shatter her ice shield.

However, as soon as he did so, he was hit in the face by a torrent of water and was pushed back.

The water started to solidify, trapping him inside. Small spikes formed quickly from the ice, piercing his skin despite his haki protecting it.

He had to transform his entire body into a formless mass of light to escape.

As soon as he did, more attacks were waiting for him.

This time, Vivi was not using any of her models. She did not need them in this form. Her ability to shape and move water was several times faster and more precise now. With a mere thought, she could free-form her ice in any shape she wanted. And her divine powers were also able to enhance her mind and accelerate her processing speed.

But the transformation was not without downsides. As long as she remains in this shape, her mobility is greatly reduced and she cannot use any of her movement techniques like the 'soru'.

However, that was a price worth paying. Her oponent was already much faster than her anyway, so she could never win in a contest of movement speed.

Besides, after many exchanges and many failures, she has finally found a weakness in the Admiral.

The light logia may be the devil fruit with the most ridiculous potential.

In theory, by allowing the user to transform into light particles, it stands to reason that the person will be able to move at the speed of light.

However, there is a cap to this ability and that is nothing more than Kizaru himself.

Humans are very limited, and no matter how incredibly skillful that person is, there will be a clear ceiling on how fast a person processes information.

The only thing that limits Kizaru's speed is his own brain. His own capacity to react to his own movement.

This gave her an advantage. Her God's fruit was able to enhance every aspect of her limited human body, allowing her to surpass them. She could break the shackles and go further.

"Uggg!" Kizaru groaned after being hit by an ice bullet on his shoulder.

The hit was not enough to inflict a serious injury but it did cause him a lot of pain and made him bleed. Something he was not used to.

He started at the red stain on his white coat and wondered when was the last time someone had made him bleed.

He then looked back at his oponent. She didn't look very human right now.

'She also looked like that on that day…' He clenched his fists.

"What kind of fruit did you eat? Is obvious that is some mythical zoan but there are no records of a water zoan like that one."

And the Marines have the most extensive records of devil fruits in the world. Many of them aren't even included in the public catalog they release every few years. But this one was not there, he was sure of that.

"You want the name of my fruit?"

A grin appeared on her face.

"Divine Zoan: Undine, Goddess of the seas."

Kizarus's eyes opened widely.

"Divine you say?"
