Chapter 214: Mission start!

Frozen cave, nearby Caesar laboratory. Right after the fight with Trafalgar Law.

"I'm so sorry!" Franky(Tashigi) bowed down to her superior officer.

"If you had not disobeyed orders and stayed with me, this would not have happened!, a 'sorry' will not cut it."

Gion frowned.

The other marines looked at 'her' with eyes of pity.

"I can't believe that our cute Captain Tashigi now looks like this…"

"I…I lost control when I saw them. It will not happen again, Ma'am…" said Franky(Tashigi) while keeping his bow.

Gion eventually sighed.

"What's done is done, make sure to learn from your mistakes."

She walked to a nearby rock and took a seat.

"Now, sit down. Let's decide what to do now."

Her second in command, an old Captain with white hair,  got close.

"The parameters of our mission were to observe the situation, locate the Strawhats, and report to the Admiral. We were not to engage in combat unless it was absolutely necessary." He gave a passing glance to Franky(Tashigi) and this one flinched.

"But the situation has changed now."

"Indeed…we have now discovered that this island is being occupied by not only the Shichibukai Trafalgar Law but also the former marine scientist,  Caesar Clown. The man responsible for this island's current situation…"

"There is also all those children whore following the Strawhats. Why would they be here?..."

Franky(Tashigi) said gravely.

"I have read many reports of child kidnappings around this area, do you think it could be them?"

"If they were taken by Caesar, that would be very bad news…that man was known for being ruthless with his test subjects, that's why the government would only give him cruel criminals to use in the past." 

Said Gion.

"Then, we have to save them!" Exclaimed Franky(Tashigi).

"We will, but we must be careful. Caesar is already a very dangerous individual, but if he is involved, it means that Doflamingo is also involved in whatever experiments he is performing now."

Explained the vice-admiral.

"The Shichibukai?...you think Law is also working for him?" asked another officer.

"That seems to be the case, but with Law…who knows." Gion seemed to be in deep thought.

A marine entered the cave and went straight to Gion.

"Ma'am, I cannot establish communication with the exterior, I have tried several times but I think something is interfering with the signal. "

"We are on our own then." Said Franky(Tashigi).

"Okay, here is what we do. We go back to the laboratory find Law and arrest him for his assault against a marine officer. Of course, we also make him give Tashigi her lovely body back."

"Please don't say it like that!" Cried Franky(Tashigi) with embarrassment.

The men looked at the giant cyborg making girly gestures with mixed feelings.

"I already miss our beloved captain…body."

"Yeah, please get it back!"

"Oi!, I'm your Captain!." Yelled the old Captain.

"Can't we trade?"

"Yes! , can we?"

Wondered the men.

"Gentlemen,  don't joke about this!"

The authoritative voice of Gion resounded in the cave, making everyone take a step back.

"Captain Sebastian has been with us from the beginning, he is an invaluable part of this crew. You would trade him away like that?!" 

The men looked down in shame.

"We are sorry…"

"Thank you for your kind words, Ma'am!. Is good to be appreciated." The old Captain said with tears in his eyes.

"Vice-Admiral…" Franky(Tashigi) looked at her with respect.

"Besides, I already asked Smoker and he said no." 

Said Gion nonchalantly. 

An award silence invaded the cave.

"What?!, how could you!" Cried the old Captain.

"So, anyway. The next part of the plan…" Gion continued.

"She is ignoring him!"

"How cruel!"

The men exclaimed.

"We also need to deal with Caesar and place him under arrest. If Doflamingo is involved in whatever illegal experiments Caesar is doing here, we should be able to find the evidence in his lab. And finally, we will save those children and send them back home."

"What about the Strawhats?" asked Franky(Tashigi).

"We leave them be." decided Gion.

When everyone started to complain, she was forced to raise her voice.

"Enough !..." She shouted.

"I understand how you all feel about letting some pirates go. But we don't have the manpower to accomplish everything so we must set priorities.  Our mission was never to capture the Strawhats in the first place. "

She looked at Franky(Tashigi) who seemed to be the least convinced of the group.

"Those are my orders, will that be a problem?" Gion asked.

"No, Ma'am! I will follow the mission without fail this time!"

"Bam!" The sound of metal building against metal could be heard.

"That door is so tough! I thought I could break it. " Franky(Tashigi) said after punching the door several times with her metal body.

"This place was originally designed by Doctor Vegapunk, you should not underestimate it." Commented Gion.

"How do we go in?" We don't have any explosives with us." Asked the old Captain.

"We will have to find another way to enter, but before that.." She turned to the rest of her men.

"Only Sebastian, Tashigi, and I will be going into the facility. I need the rest of you to secure our ship and make sure no one leaves the island without our knowledge."

"Why?, We can fight too!"

"Yeah!"

The men seemed unwilling to leave.

"Because -" Gion looked up after sensing something strange.

"Get out of there!" She shouted the order.

The men looked up and saw a giant ship flying to them.

They screamed and moved out of the way before it crashed down.

"What was that?" asked Franky(Tashigi).

"An attack from Law?" wondered the old Captain.

A woman with wings made of hands landed gracefully while others struggled to get out of the destroyed ship.

"We made it! shishishi!" The loud laugh of Luffy resounded.
