Chapter 61: Determination to live

“If you ask for the Buster Call, you will be blown up too. Along with Enies Lobby!” Claimed Robin

“Don't be stupid. How can we be blown up by our own ally's attack?” Said Spandam.

“Twenty years ago…just one attack took everything from me. As well as ruining the lives of many. That is the Buster Call. That same attack is now aimed at the dear friends I finally found.”

Robin stood back up to look at the Strawhats.

“The more I wish to be with you…the more my fate will bare its fangs at you. No matter what sea I go to. I have this great enemy that I can't shake. Cause my enemy is the World and its darkness…”

“First, the incident with Aokiji and now this…I have gotten you involved twice already! If this goes on forever, even good nature people like you will eventually consider me a burden! In time you'll betray me and abandon me. That's what I'm the most afraid of. That's why I didn't want you to come and save me!.”

“If I'm going to lose my life anyways…I rather lose it right here, right now…” Robin finished.

“Robin…”

“So that's how she felt.”

Spandam started laughing. “I see…that is so true!. No one can stand against the World Government.” He turned to Robin.

“Of course, no one would think you are not a burden with all of your problems!”

Spandam face the Strawhats and pointed his finger up at a banner on top of the tower.

“Look at that symbol, pirates. That mark represents the unity of over 170 nations in four seas and the Grand Line. This is the world!”

“Do you understand how insignificant you are compared to that? Do you understand how big of an organization was after her?.”

“Yes, I understand Robins's enemy very well” Luffy looked at the flag.

“Usopp….burn that thing down”

“Aye Captain!” Usopp took out a giant slingshot and aimed up.

“Firebird star!” 

A small bird made of fire came out and flew up until it hit the World Government flag, burning it completely.

“You bastards are insane?!. Do you understand what you just did? You declared war against the World Government!. Don't even think that you will survive having the world as your enemy!” Yelled Spandam.

“I'd be happy to live with that!” Screamed Luffy. Surprising all CP9 members and Robin.

“Now, Robin. I still haven't heard it from you!. Say you wanna live!”

“Can I…really?” Robin whispered softly with tears in her eyes. The only one that heard her was Franky.

“Of course, you can, you fool!” Exclaimed Franky.

Robin stood against the balcony and finally screamed her true wish.

“I WANNA LIVE!....take me with you to the ocean”

Franky started crying.

“I love you guys!...damn it”

“How dare you!” An enraged Spandam went to slap Robin.

‘No, you don't.’

Vivi pointed her index finger at the madman.

“Bullet”

The tip of her finger turned to water and squeeze itself. Upon release, a high-speed bullet made of compressed water, shoot out at great speed and impacted Spandam on his shoulder, piercing it.

“Ahhh!” Spandam went down screaming and bleeding. 

“Keep your damn hands off her!.” Yelled Vivi.

“I have been shot! Quick!, call a doctor” Spandam cried.

“Wow!, I didn't know you could do that” Exclaimed Nami.

“That was awesome, Vivi!” Smiled Luffy.

Lucci stood on the balcony, looking at Vivi intensely.

“Tobu shigan…no, that's impossible” He whispered to himself.

Some members of the CP9 went to attend Spandam while others took Robin inside.

When Kaku went to take Franky, this one managed to struggle out of his restraints and jumped out of the balcony.

“Shit!” Exclaimed Kaku. He then was about to jump down when He was stopped by Lucci.

“Leave it. He has no way to escape the island. We can catch him later. Now we need to deal with the Strawhats.”

The mechanical noises got louder and the bridge started to move.

“The dawn bridge is lowering!” Said Chopper.

“I guess they have done their job.” Sanji lighted a cigarette.

“I'm…I'm trembling with excitement!” Said Usopp to himself.

“Hurry up and lower it already!” Zoro already had his hands on the handles.

“Here we go!” Yelled Luffy. He then extended his arms and grabbed everyone.

“Luffy, what are you doing?!” Yelled Nami.

“Wait, no no no! I just remember I have fear of heights!” Cried Usopp.

Giving them no more time to think. Luffy jumped down from the tower while carrying the crew and landed near the end of the bridge.

“That was fun!” Said Luffy.

Nami smashed him in the head.

“No, it wasn't!”

“Well…at least we made it down quite quickly…Let's move on.” Said Vivi.

They then heard the noise of rocks moving. When they looked in the direction of the sound, they found a pile of debris shaking.

“Whoaa!!!!” Franky stood up all of a sudden, moving all of the debris aside.

“Am alive!” He yelled.

“It's that Franky guy.” Said Zoro.

“Oh!, you guys came to rescue me too. I am moved!” Franky said with tears in his eyes.

“Who came to save you?!. We came for Robin.” Exclaimed Sanji.

“We came also for him thought. It was Mister Iceberg's request. And Fraknys family has been of great help.” Vivi pointed out.

“Those guys came too?!” Said Franky, looking excited.

“I'm still not forgiving him after what He did to our friend.” Luffy gave Franky an angry expression.

“Yeah!” Said Zoro and Sanji.

Usopp was touched by the support “Guys…i don't know what to say..i-”

“And He took our money!” Cried Nami.

Vivi got between them before things escalated.

“Okay, we had our differences. But we are on the same side now. We can work together to take down the CP9, rescue Robin and get out of here before that Clown presses the Buster Call. Right?”

“Fine, we can work together.” Said Luffy.

“Super!” Shouted Franky.
