You have to realize too though, that everything we've seen so far as taken in place in a matter of 1 month or so, and most of that time even, he's spent in the past. He can't change what his past self is doing except for when he's there. Learning how to fight (lessons), getting stronger? Both would take time, and maybe money in the future, lol... neither of which he has. It honestly wouldn't be realistic at this point had he learned how to fight already. Not that we expect anime to be realistic, but that would be far fetched even for this reality i think. Oh, and the guy at the end, Pen-yah, was the guy we always saw with Pah-chan.

Guy at the end is Peh, he was in the last 2 episodes and he was always with Pah

Oh man yall already have to explain a character to them that they think they never seen ohhh and this literally gets so difficult later in the story because so many characters come in to the story and are relevant it's hard for me even to remember names and characters currently while reading the manga.
