Just letting yall know, the korra recap ain't no big deal. It doesn't spoil shit like avatar did. Its actually a really creative recap that you guys would have a laugh at so y'all don't have to skip it every time.

And aang did NOT master the elements in one year. He says in the finale he needs more time to master firebending and Toph says his earthbending could use some work. I dont know about water, but aang only learned all four elements, he didn't master them.

Korra does get much darker, and I feel like at plenty of points it get darker than the darkest parts of atla, so hopefully y'all will be pleasantly surprised

ATLA isn't even close to the 1850's. In the 1850's electricity was already harvested. The technology advanced way too fast. That's just accurate. The reason they had ANYTHING resembling technology in ATLA was manually powered by firebenders. They didn't have close to the tech understanding we did in the 1850s.

Aang wouldn’t like pro bending either because he is a pacifist and does not like Violence unless he has to that y most of his fight he don’t throw a lot or attacks he just defends and moves around and only landing hard and powerful blows when is opp leaves there selves defenseless so if they used Theo bending like a another way for a sports Aang would of loved it but with pro bending he wouldn’t like it
