I always thought Aang kind of fused with the ocean spirit. When aang is looking in the pond the fish’s eyes start to glow when his do so I think it was like the spirit was using Aang as a vessel (Avatar). Anyway great redaction hype for season 2. This is my favorite reaction you guys have done.

Yeah Max is right, that was Aang "fused" with the ocean spirit (Thats why he was in a big ass water koi fish lol). And no Aang* wasn't controlling it at the end when it took Zhao, that was the ocean lockin his ass up in the spirit world

When Aang was in avatar state the koi fish spirt fused wit him that why you saw the a koi fish light up like the avatar as well. Also the avatar state stopped when the koi fish spirit saw the moon. (It realized that the white one had to be back) Also when it captured the commander the remains of the koi fish spirit that fused wit the avatar basically killed him.

The episode wit the panda was not a filler episode, that episode alone explained what the spirit world is, introduced Iroh and showed us Sozins comet. Every episode contributes to the story in one way or another regardless of whether or not some big event happened. The only filler episode is “The Great Divide”

There’s one fillerish episode in Season 2 but it’s better than The Great Divide and after that it’s straight heat.
