tbh the actual story isn't that good in my opinion. the characters on their own are cool and a lot of people get really defensive with this anime saying it's amazing. I just didn't work for me plot wise(also Elizabeth is more annoying in dub ) despite all that i voted for it because i knew you guys would think that these fights are hot. theres more to come in season 2 but i don't personally give a fuck about the story that much. im sure someone can give better perspective on why its good(it's not lol). i hope the story can work for you guys, but even if it doesn't the fights are awesome. The girl they're currently fighting also reminds me of shimizake from mob psycho because of they eyes for sure lol.

P.S Minor Spoilers from s2 and onwards I think people just have the wrong impression.This is not a plot heavy anime.I think OPM is the perfect example and the closest thing.These are just HYPE animes.Lots of action and very enjoyable characters.I can't think of another shounen where every character gets enough story and every character is hype af.(obviously including the manga,because some characters appear late in the anime)It's an anime to relax to and just have fun.It's not serious and they show it with the non stop comedy even in the middle of fights.(and yet this is still one of the few animes that made me cry.A certain scene in the second season and the fact that the show is not serious at all made it so much better).Blind Wave is a good example of wrong impression.They saw a few animes like Death Note,Code Geass and then they started OPM.Every episode they did like a 10m discussion,theories,what the fck is gonna happen,and then nothing that they thought happened.They were used to the heavy plot,taking notes,even rewatching some episodes,so they were confused at first.My favourite animes are Steins;Gate, Code geass and Evangelion and i just looooove plot heavy animes,twists,psychological stuff etc.But i still enjoyed the fck out of OPM and this.Also, i don't know if you have read the manga,but the main plot of the series from the very beginning has been the holy war between the races and season 3 is gonna have alot of that.Its def not heavy on the plot side,but i always thought it was better than the other ones.There are some sick plot twists later on.I just think people should compare the plot to naruto,bleach and etc instead of the real plot focused animes.Not even close to stuff like AoT and FMAB ofc.
