TANYA TORINO: Blue Vinyl Dress (Left) & Regular Outfit (Right)

Tanya's regular outfit is inspired by two things (prob pretty obvious): The Health Goth trend of the 2014-2016 era, and modern post-cyberpunk cyberpunk fashion! The jacket is actually inspired by a Theresa TM Barbie I had as a kid (i am a sucker for translucent fashion, I blame my dear Theresa for this forever). I've been meaning to incorporate more cybergoth styles into the game, and although Tanya's much more minimalist (thus the massive Health Goth influence - that was hugely popular during my LA party goth days!), I'm excited to incorporate more!

I'm ALSO a sucker for giving everyone anodized color metal piercings all matchy-matchy, so Tanya's got a radium green set! I STILL need to incorporate more of the 2000's style like, tie-dye gumball piercing ball ends and stuff, but I NEED to figure out how to draw it representationally so it still looks good knocked down into pixels!

Tanya's formal Final Girl Ball look (left) is strictly based on my time working at the Lip Service warehouse as an early-20's college student (hi Lip Service!). Working as a design intern for like, one of THE most iconic goth brands EVER (seriously, Lip Service has been styling the goth community since the 80s), I got to see LOTS of vintage LS clothing, catalogue it, and see the evolution and cycles of goth fashion irl - Lip Service has lots of iconic prints/textiles that you'll probably recognize, one of the most iconic being the skull/upside down cross/dagger print, another being its signature tartan - and its patent/shiny blue vinyl is something I've always associated with them! Vinyl lines in the 90s and 2000s from LS frequently included patent/shiny deep satin red, patent black, and patent/shiny deep dark blue as colorways, and I REALLY wanted to pay homage to one of the staple goth looks (hence all the buckles, too) within the Final Girl Ball sequences!
