The expectations of his superstar horror-movie-slasher parents (Jason Myers-Krueger and Pyramid Head MacDuff), his own completel naiivete about what he ACTUALLY likes doing/saying/experiencing and not just what he THINKS he should be like, and, of course, tons and tons of masked horror movie villain puns. Hex's helmet is, canonically, cursed from a Norman knight and he can't take it off. His dads shoved it on him at birth, which kinda really fucking sucks.
