Hey guys!

Was finally able to get out and get a proper first ride on the new M1000R and I gotta say this bike really impressed me.  Even with that stupid 8k rpm break in limiter the bike is still a ton of fun to ride.  And when we get this terrible stock exhaust replaced with a full titanium system I think I'm going to absolutely love this bike.

A lot of people have been asking me how it compares to the Ducati Streetfighter and I cover that a little in this video...I think price for price the BMW M1000R competition specifically is the best value for money in the premium naked bike world at the moment.

To get carbon wheels and all the upgraded components on the Ducati you'd have to step up to the SP2 which is almost $10k more.

What do you guys think is the current best naked bike on the market?  Build plans video coming next!

It’s awesome to you trying something different. This will be a fun one for sure and can’t wait to see all the videos in it !! Let’s go

I had a '14 S1000R and it was a great bike. That year had upshifter, but no downshifter. But it did have the active suspension, cruise control and heated grips. Not without its faults (I had a couple of problems that required warranty fixes) but a great bike and manageable liter bike. Being "old school" I thought the cruise control was a gimmick, but it was great for the highway. Also thought the heated grips in California were completely unnecessary....but you know what? I've missed heated gripes ever since! It can get a bit frosty in Cali!

haha yeah I actually remember you having that bike in the garage when you won our Carbon V4 if I'm not mistaken...along with a Tuno I believe?
