watching suchwita then coming back to patreon after my first week of college LETS GOOOO

zaphyre

The iconic glazed sweet potatoes are finally here LMAO!! Cooking with BTS is always so much fun, especially with the difference in skills lol. But it’s great to see how much they've all improved from this episode to their more recent In The Soop adventures. If you guys had to guess, who do you think improved their cooking skills the most? Place your bets :D

maria??

yay!! going to watch this one first and then run to youtube right after!☺️💜 thank you for this weeks videos!! have a great weekend!💗

Wasan Bakhsh

JUNGKOOK GLAZED POTATO WILL FOREVER BE ICONIC 😭

Arla

Taehyung loves being praised and complimented by his members so you’ll notice the members always pay attention to what Taehyung is doing or saying and always gives him compliments even to the smallest thing. And the more you watch run bts there will be more moments where you’ll see how unique Taehyung’s thinking is 😁💜💜

Ali

Ummmmm… there are some Halloween themed dance practices if you guys wanted to dress up and react to those in October. Just an idea 💡

sandy

such good content today!! i usually watch youtube first then patreon but i'll save youtube for when im at work in an hour:P also summer and abby look so pretty in this video!

There are two number systems in SK: Native Korean (hana, dul, set etc) and Sino-Korean (il, ee, sam etc), this is based on the Chinese characters. Which isnt uncommon is Asia, my own mother tongue has 2 number systems. Personally for me, Sino-Korean is easier because you only have to remember 1-10 count. But for Native, you need to remember 1-100. Hope this helps.

Suzayn

loved the reaction!! p.s the glazed potatoes were real you guys they weren't fake!! XD

Makayla Vante

from my knowledge, the native Korean number system (Hana, dul, set, etc) is used for general counting, like when you're counting out loud, up to 99. its also used to count people, hours, things, ages, and more. Sino-Korean numbers (il, e, sam, sa, etc) are used for things like dates, money, minutes, addresses, phone numbers, and numbers above 100. I've memorized my Sino up to 10 but learning both is confusing still LOL

Shiene

PLEASE READ CUZ FOR THE KOREAN NUMBER EXPLAINATION!! there are 2 number systems in korean and its way confusing than you thought because. 1st, is sino-korean numbers which is [ il, i (pronounced as ee or y in spanish), sam, and so on ]. It is originated from chinese language so it is based on chinese characters. 2nd is native korean numbers which is the one you guys already know. The [ hana, dul, set, and so on ]. QUESTION: when will you use the sino-korean numbers or native korean numbers? ANSWER: bruh its complicated but i'll still give you a little insights because tbh there are so many usage😭............ Sino- korean are used for talking about dates, money, minutes, addresses, phone numbers, numbers above 100. While native korean numbers are used for general counting, like when youre counting out loud up to 99, it is also used to count people, hours, things, animals, ages and more.

The iconic moments of this episode forever 💜

Usually for Korean sweet potatoes, sugar & fructose syrup are used. (Think of KARO corn syrup). It's a very common ingredient and you can find a whole section of fructose syrup at the korean mart. That's why it was super sticky.

Tanya perez

V is known for doing "presentations and decorating" during the cooking shows. You will see it in more eps.😊 When I first saw this ep with JK's sweet potatos stuck to the plate, I laughed for 10mins straight because it was hilarious!😂😂😂😂😂😂

Sorry to say that you guys keep talking and missing so much things in this episode…and if you don't understand something you could go back to find the answer…but you keep guessing and miss more things again….

Ali

I love their cooking episodes. They are always hilarious and chaotic. I’m glad you guys feel comfortable stopping and rewinding the episode as needed. When the members are speaking over one another and the editors’ are adding commentary too, it really is necessary. There has even been a few RM and Jin monologues/rants that I have had to rewind and watch at 0.75 speed because they speak so quickly sometimes. The potatoes used were Korean sweet potatoes; I’m guessing you guys are used to the orange sweet potatoes found in the US. They are more white/yellow inside with a purplish skin. They are more starchy like regular potatoes and also sweeter than the orange kind. Koreans like to roast and glaze them and use them in desserts. They are pretty similar to the sweet potatoes we have in Japan, if you are familiar with those.

JustVibin'

You seemed confused about "sweet potatoes", living in Texas you HAVE to know what sweet potatoes (Yams) are! You will see BTS eating roasted sweet potatoes a lot when they camp out. The stuck potatoes are also a famous moment!

Lisa M T

This episode was so funny. Great reaction CCW. There are many colors of yams. Yellow, orange, white, purple. They apparently used the white variety.

Maia Momo

Geez it’s human nature to comment on some things while watching just let them be, will you??🤷🏻‍♀️

Maia Momo

Yay! So excited for ep 23🤗

Angel

sooooooo cute and funny

Min Jiyoon

This are still in the early year where yoongi is not yet as good as he cooks on the video you watched where he cooked the meets. ☺️

Kat Taylor

Korean sweet potatoes are white and soooo good! Definitely different from ours. I used to be obsessed with sweet potato pizza when I lived in Seoul. Omg I could fly back just for that pizza 🤤

minttu

this ep reminded me of jinnys kitchen, a cooking show/series with V and few korean actors, I know that u are busy and packed with reactions, and the show technically isnt a bts group content, but i still hope that maybe some day you would watch it, i found it super entertaining! 💜😆 I also love ur suchwita ep with jk, i commented already on yt but yall were making me laugh sm hehe

Nicole Wang

Abby with hot pink just 🤌🤌🤌😍😍😍

I became Army is Jan 2022, and I started watching RUN BTS and when I hit episodes 18, 19, 20 …. I fell in love with BTS in a whole different way. To me, Episode 20 is peak JK showcasing how funny he can be and Jin showcasing his perfect MC skills. I would be happy if they just did RUN BTS and nothing else because they are such a tremendously funny ensemble. And with all the different types of stuff they do, you get to see each of them doing peak comedy, random amazing skills, and just enjoying the hell out of each other. I can’t wait til you get to EP 28. They are so comfortable and supportive together. I really want them to do like an Oceans 7 type movie because they are perfect for it. Big Hit started RUN BTS so they’d have creative control over their own artists and ended up launching one of the best variety shows ever. The talent these 7 men have. 😥

Bangtanlicious

I promise you guys, 99.9% of the questions you ask will be answered in the subtitles

ColombianCousinsAndWives

Hi VJMJK - AS we watch these shows we like to keep an open dialogue to discuss what we see and keep it as natural as possible since it's a reaction video. The reason we don't constantly pause the entire time is cause it breaks the flow of the show. But, We do know we're going to miss things and that can be frustrating. So the solution to that is to go to Patreon and Discord and speak with everyone. They do a great job of filling in those gaps and letting us know what we missed, and many times we bring that up in our next reaction. But even if we don't , at least we have the important info we need when moving on to the next episode : )

Kath

Thanks for a wonderful reaction. I always enjoy rewatching with you… this was an iconic episode with The Birth of ‘Decor Kim’ (a Korean nickname for Tae) our Decorating specialist with the iconic ‘Squirrel Trapped in Garden’ and also JK’s iconic glazed sweet potatoes… You will see both mentioned numerous times in future Run BTS content… and yes for the longest time the two worst in the kitchen were Namjoon and Tae, with Namjoon being downright dangerous keke… you will see this commented on a lot in BTS content too... (Tae has really improved now though esp in Jinny’s Kitchen (available on Amazon prime in the US, a cooking variety show where Korean celebrities opened a Korean street food restaurant In Bacalar a small town in Mexico which aired this year and he shot last Dec. 🇲🇽 )) The best cooks are Yoongi, Jin and JK. (JK especially now cooks a lot and post’s recipes on weverse often) Hobi and Jimin are okay cooks with Hobi esp excelling in organisation and cleaning! Also a little but very useful tip… On weverse if you adjust the subtitle size by making it a little bigger… it will be much easier for you to catch the editors witty and cute captions which triple the fun . It will also make it easier for you to catch who says what a bit easier as sometimes you unintentionally miss out on who said what and some info etc… due to the speed of the captions. Also please feel free to pause and rewind as many times as you need. Catching all that they say etc honestly makes the episodes so much more fun and enjoyable. Anyways back to this ep… I love how you see Jimin taking such good care of Tae in this ep… telling him to watch his fingers, giving him tasks etc… you forget he is the same age as Tae and not older… they are all very sweet towards him with their praise and care as they try to keep him occupied with bread etc and Yoongi saying he will order Tae a pizza as he’s not the best in the kitchen... Jin’s contagious laugh is also such a mood booster in this ep… Thanks again, look forward to your next ep. 💜

Cherie Partin

the sweet potatoes they used are different from the sweet potatoes and yams we have here and the potatoes pancakes are different to they are almost like a fried hashbrown( thats the closest i can think to discribe them)

LoriG

Great reaction! Those JK sweet potatoes are iconic! And Squirrel trapped in the Garden! So funny!! Jin’s laugh throughout the whole episode cracks me up!! 😂💜

Jayden Kement

I don’t know if anyone mentioned it, but Jin is actually allergic to potatoes and garlic. Which is why he probably says he doesn’t like potatoes in the older episodes like this. I don’t think he knew he was allergic at this time and just didn’t like them? Idk

2023-11-25 03:20:57 When I started watching BTS content the subtitles were overwhelming. If you ignore the subtitles that are in brackets (the editor notes) it will be easier to catch what the guys are saying. At some point it will get easier to read everything, but most of the time the editor notes are reduntant, although they say some funny things here and there.

Jungkook can cook as well, mainly him Jin and Suga

Daniel mentioned the most relatable thing today when Tae had his hand over Jin’s shoulder that it feels good to see them together after watching that ep of Burn the Stage. I remember as a baby army when I first watched that ep I had to pause the series go watch moments of both of them on & off stage just to ease my mind that things are fine between them even though I know it’s all good..🙈 The best part about it is that after this they both made that part of the spring day choreography their own funny & cute little thing in a lot of performances later on so it was heartwarming to watch that. P.S. Since you guys haven’t checked out the Spring Day choreo you can react to the OG choreo https://youtu.be/_AlODdAInRY?si=BMt4w4kaLyRjzHHo along with the 2019Festa lovely version choreo https://youtu.be/8ZbPyzh3pio?si=X_ak_fkh2E9SnVsi

Yuktha

Ya he actually found out about it sometime later in 2020 I guess so it makes sense why he didn’t like it.

Andrew Hitchcock

It's hard to catch everything and react. It's taken me multiple viewings of these shows to catch all the little details. They are doing fine.

BZ

CCW looked soo good in this episode! I hope you all got to enjoy some family time too with your relatives who were over that day! Thank you so much for continuing to give us such fun reactions and balancing your personal family lives 💜💜

graxiellaxxi

Jungkook is Jin and Suga’s favourite Kitchen assistant. Because of that, he can actually feed himself decent food. You can see more of Bangtan cooking in Bon Voyage and In the Soop. There you will see who are the members in charge of cooking and after care.

moonie εïз

it’s funny that you noticed tae’s attire,,,it’s something armys picked up on bc no matter where he is, he’s mostly likely gonna wear a suit. it’s v endearing lol also i know this is something people tell you a lot but your questions are almost always answered in the videos you watch (not only run bts). pause and rewind if you missed things, i noticed you did it in this video. it’ll make viewing the videos more enjoyable if you understand what you’re curious about than being confused about something that was explained 5 minutes ago.

Madeline

Y’all should react to the BTS meme song by PawPaw! 😭

J.N

Love this!!!

Tia Bee

This was back when Jin was mostly the one we ever saw cooking and Yoongi wasn’t as known for his cooking as he is today. It wasn’t until Bon Voyage 4 and In the Soop that Yoongi really took over that chef role. This episode of Run BTS was a pleasant surprise.

Alwena Willis

Jin was the one who did most of the cooking the first few years, often having bought the food with his own money in the trainee days as everyone was broke, but he came from an a reasonably wealthy family who provided him with sufficient. He even went on an idol cooking show! He cooked their first anniversary dinner with some dubious assistance from RM and also on their seventh. Suga learnt to cook over the years mainly from his brother and now in the Bon Voyage and In the Soop series you see both of them cook. Jin is good with seafood and Pajeon (Korean pancakes) and Suga with steak, both with soups etc. Jin is good friends with two of Koreas top chefs and has done shows with both. JK is also an excellent cook having assisted Jin and Suga for years and a huge You Tube cook enthusiast following recipes he likes. All three are extremely competent in the kitchen. Both Hobi and Jimin are reasonable cooks well at least can manage for themselves. Tae used to be useless at it except for presentation where he was creative but since Jinny’s kitchen has now also etched his way up to Hobi and Jimin’s level. Namjoon dislikes it and has stated he sees no point in spending money on ingredients spending hours cooking it for it to be terrible and that he might as well order it. So has no desire to try cooking. So it’s usually when all seven are there either Jin or Suga or both with JK cooking with the other four on clean up duty. There are quite a few funny cooking shows coming up in Run that I know you will enjoy. Be prepared to see the squirrel again some time when you least expect it! 💜💜💜💜

BTS - 134340 Pluto Live pls

MaryRose Olson

I absolutely loved this episode the first time I watched it, it's so clear in my memories! Fun fact, after watching this episode I actually bought the squirrel bowl on Amazon. I don't have my own kitchen yet though so at the moment it lives on the bookshelf in my room. I enjoyed your reaction again! Borahae! 💜

Cynthia Perez

I knew you would get something squirrel related lol.

TSO 아포방포

CCW does not have the luxury of watching these over and over like some of us. They are reacting in RT for our benefit, unlike the rest of us that watch it on our own time at our own pace. They count on us to fill in the gaps. It takes a long time and many hours of content to learn all the BTS/Army inside jokes and information. I STILL rely on other Army to clarify anything I come across that I don’t get. Abby picks up on things very quickly and is a huge help for the team. CCW is having a good time getting to know BTS in their own style. Enjoy the process with them. Or maybe watch a different reactor? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

TSO 아포방포

BTS has a couple of cookbooks that include recipes made by them with stories that go along with them.

Linnea Gilbertson

Be prepared to laugh a lot from here on out. BTS total crackhead energy is unleashed and Run BTS just keeps getting better and better. The competitive episodes are always going to be favourites. Thanks for watching. 💜💜💜💜

Phyllis St. Pierre

You guys noticed that Jin came and helped with the cleaning, but I think you missed the caption when he said, "I am sorry so I'll help you guys clean up." He is such a good guy! Love your reactions😁

ᴮᴱWhere there is hope, there are trials #Sea ⁷

LOLOL the reaction to the tentacles is the same way I react when I see people order tacos de lengua/cabeza/balls/brain LOL!! yet, I'm in line ordering pig butt tacos or something :P:P

Rudy💜

I’ve had the worst month ever and it’s been hard but, thank you so much ccw for making me laugh, I’ll be watching your videos till you all of you become grandpas and granny’s💜SARANGHAE

The steak sandwiches you’re talking about suga making was in like 2021 lol these episodes are in like 2017 ish or Sonya be earlier… suga and Jin only really cooked basic Korean dishes lol outside of that… they never cooked anything else until they started in the soop. They’re not like culinary chefs or something… I think yoongi started cooking out of necessity … he doesn’t seem to have a passion for cooking like Jin and jungkook do… but this was back when jk and jimin would mainly help Jin cooking… so they were still baby cooks…. Even hobi did some cooking back then too. A lot of the guide can be a bit deceiving as to how much they really all did together… even that sandwich suga made for them was their second course… and jungkook had made them another pork dish think it was suyuk … with the other part of the meat that they kinda ate as a first course…. Which jungkook ended up making a second round of suyuk for everyone bc they ate it all so fast and wanted more food. Jungkook is a science prodigy so he seems to love cooking coming more from enjoying mixing things together to create his own new dishes… or dishes that are slight variations to original dishes… but he’s so detailed and precise about things… but goes off his gut lol but jungkook has always been one of the foodies of the group…. But that’s all foods outside of korean… Jin seems to stick with their food from everything I’ve seen them make. Hobi and jk basically cook as much as suga and Jin do… but ppl don’t acknowledge it as often… it’s like suga and Jin will cook the meat…. But hobi and jk will prep everything and cook all the side dishes.. and help with the main cooking. Jimin makes rameyeon for everyone a lot of the time, v makes rice very well… even joon and v cooked a delicious steak and pasta meal!!! You’ll see ! But back at this point… they were never making anything fancy… just what they ate but a lot of the time they were busy with schedules so they ate comfort food lol

Lyz

🚨🚨🚨 A suggestion if you guys don't mind: Each 20 episodes you could watch a more recent RUN BTS episode or a more popular one (a poll is a nice way of choosing), so you would gift the many of us who didn't want you to watch the series in order, but alternated. Could at least you think about it? Thank you in advance ❤️

pamela

abbie i love your makeup today!

PrettyJumpTree

Potato pancakes are super easy to make and its so good. Finely grate one peeled potato. Take a sieve or by hand squeeze the moisture out of the potato into a separate bowl. Let the water settle then carefully pour out the water leaving behind the starch. Mix the grated potato and starch. Add salt and black pepper. Heat a pan with oil and spread the potato in a even layer. fry and flip when golden brown. its chewy and crispy. You can dip in soy sauce if like. I recommend but is optional to grate half an onion and add to mixture before frying. It adds depth in flavor and a wonderful aroma to the pancake. You can watch this YouTube clip for recipe. Maangchi is my go to for Korean recipes. https://youtu.be/9F5iwVQbZAY?si=LYJK5-c_XR3o9DwZ

Yes, there are two ways to count in korean. The il, ee sam (1,2,3) they used in this ep is called Sino-Korean. Hana Dul Set is native korean. From Google: The Native Korean number system is used for general counting, like when you're counting out loud, up to 99. It's also used to count people, hours, things, ages, and more. Sino-Korean numbers are used for things like dates, money, minutes, addresses, phone numbers, and numbers above 100.

IDEA Girl

You guys are so funny. Guessing about the sweet potatoes. When everything is explained in the video. How did he get hurt? Lots of guesses. Just Google it. I provided a link before where JK explained what happened.

Haru

23:03 The glazed sweet potatoes got stuck on the plate. It caramelized. It was real lol Jungkook was showing them that his glazed potatoes hardened because it caramelized.

LouCas27

Get ready for more cooking Run BTS episodes! 💜 BTW, the two BTS recipe books are already available; would love to see CCW attempt prepare some of the boys’ fave dishes ☺️

Miz_Mollyanna

Looking back at some of the earliest Run BTS episodes where he had to drink raw garlic juice as a penalty, I feel so bad now, especially since they didn't know back then he was allergic to it. That's a tough allergy to have in Korea - garlic is used so much in their cuisine.

Sengheang Sream

Namjoon's IQ is questionable when he's in kitchen, unbelievebubble, kkkk...
