In "In the soop 2" and in Jungkooks lives you will see JK cook very often along with Jin and Yoongi of course. But I think everyone in BTS know how to cook but some can better and some not haha. Jungkook posts his receipts of his dishes that he made and sometimes does them live with ARMY watching. It is so much fun!

I can relate to your conversation regarding differing taste of food of westerners and non-westerners. My western friends/family all eat processed food whereas my non-western friends/family enjoy the freshest food possible which aren't processed. I hate processed food and love eating fresh seafood and all veggies. x

It’s RM and V that don’t really cook. Jimin, J-Hope, and Jungkook will usually be seen helping out Suga and Jin when they’re cooking while RM and V take of clean up duties. RM is usually on trash/food waste and V likes doing the dishes (couldn’t be me 😂). They’re a very effective team lol.

i love trying foods from other cultures but IMO its critical to eat it the recommended way. i tried to put ketchup on kabob chicken once and it was horrific. but later in life i did it the persian way: cut up the chicken, mix it with rice, the guts of a tomato, the purple seasoning, and a raw egg. eat it using a wedge of an onion layer as a spoon. i BALKED the first time, but turns out its incredible.

One of my favorite parts of this is how babies and little kids are straight up Vmin magnates lol! You can always count on Jimin to make a beeline for them whenever or wherever they are lol! Also in the Korean alphabet the g has more of a k sound. So we say Yoongi but when you listen to the members it's more like Yoonki. Thank you in Korean has a k sound but is often spelled romanized with a g. Man I miss my Korean lessons so much. Hoping to get back into them this summer. And like a raw banana or cooked? A banana or a plantain? I would like to try this thing you speak of. Oh and the McDees in Hawaii actuallys serves their breakfast sandwiches with spam too.

I agree with the boys regarding the banana. Being Filipino, I particularly like the adobo + rice + banana combination. Or anything meat that tastes salty/umami + rice + banana is 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🫰🏼

From what we've seen or heard from their stories, the best BTS cooks are Jin, Suga, and Jungkook. When they lived together, Jin cooked most of the time. We got to know Suga's culinary skills in In the Soop and BonVoyage. Jungkook showed his abilities in In the Soop, BonVoyage (later seasons) and now in his Lives on Wevers. Sometimes he cooks live, talks about cooking, shares recipes with ARMY. Sam admitted that he watches a lot of cooking shows on YouTube and tries new recipes. Jimin and J-Hope are also doing well in the kitchen. The least skilled in the kitchen are V and RM. But they are great at cleaning and washing dishes after common feasts ;-)

Growing up Mexican, I thought all Latinos liked spicy food and didn't learn until I was exposed to cuisine from other Latin American countries that that wasn't necessarily the case! I still remember the first time I had Cuban food and was confused that there wasn't any salsa on the table 😂 And yep, we love putting tajín, chamoy/chamoy powder on food. Fruits, veggies, candies; you name it! You should make pepinos locos someday. They're great for parties, and even better when you add gummy candy!

Somali culture serves bananas with their dishes too, usually with meat (beef/lamb) and rice. I thought it was a bit weird at first too but it's actually not bad. It's a good balance of savory and sweet.

You guys notice things that I hadn't noticed before - like when they said they wanted to eat at 'Ken's' - I didn't realize the restaurant they were at earlier was Ken's house of pancakes - my parents ate there one time on vacation.

Poor jungkook … I love how shady tae was about not helping lmao he waited and asked if the cameras were done recording them and dipped out on JK… but the crew went and got the older members and filmed bc tae wasn’t cleaning like he was supposed to… you could tell Jin and jimin did not like that lol the disrespect… not just washing his face but shaving and all that instead of helping and made poor sweet jungkook clean on his own lol it’s hilarious how tae tried to not let that part be in camera… and the crew was like “not today.” Lmao that’s definitely brother vibes af! We do know that these guys are family lol v always tries to get out of helping off camera 😂 oh the two maknaes…. Just such sibling bonds it’s amazing . Like this is real family.. you do extra to help out ppl you are just acquainted with and fight with your siblings about he’ll g out … family is family !!

Jungkook actually has become probably a better chef than his hyungs at this point lol he cooks on “in the soop 2” and on “in the soop” but on “in the soop 2” jungkook makes some of the most delicious looking foods I’ve seen… him and yoongi. Jin didn’t cook as much but he cooked a bit and it always looks yummy… but jungkook has done some cooking vlives and omg it always looks so good!!! He really seems to love cooking and it shows lol

Yeh Jin and yoongi both said that they only could really cook the main Korean dishes that they were used to. Jungkook has kinda branched out cooking and doesn’t just stick to what he knows.. he’s a bit more adventurous and seems to have gone pretty deep into different kinds of cooking and grilling. JK just isn’t scared to try new things and he cooks more by the feel of things… doesn’t really measure things out and goes with his gut… it’s crazy how much of a natural he is even at that. He’s so impressive as a person it baffles me

You're reading the rules for Muk-Jji-Bba, not the regular Rock Paper Scissors. I still don't completely understand how they determine winners with 7 people playing at once, but Muk-Jji-Bba is slightly different.

They are super fast cause they are so used to it. basically, you just do it several times, slowly weeding out players. I read an article explaining it The World Rock Paper Scissors Association states, "everyone in the group plays a gesture and if all 3 gestures are showing everyone plays again." With the example of BTS, if RM, Jin, and Hobi throw rock, Suga, Jungkook and Jimin throw paper, and V throws scissors, since all gestures are represented, they all keep playing. But if only two gestures are showing, the players with the greater gesture stay in the game and the rest are eliminated. For example, if RM, Jin, and Hobi throw rock, while Suga, Jungkook, Jimin, and V throw paper, since paper beats rock, RM, Jin, and Hobi would, unfortunately, be eliminated and have to leave the circle. This pattern continues until you get down to the traditional Rock, Paper, Scissors game between two players or until there's only one person left (the winner).

Jin suga and jungkook cook… hobi is a super assistant… jimin can be a super assistant but he doesn’t really help cook… more plating and dishing… Jin and suga always had jhope and jungkook helping them a long time ago… and they’ve kinda been the assistants ever since lol but jungkook started cooking himself even when they were younger in the dorms which you learn more about through watching run BTS… I’m kinda sad you guys can’t do run BTS more often bc I know it’s stuff you’re going to love. I think you have an iffy feeling about run BTS bc you’re still at the very beginning of the episodes lol I stg they get so much better , easier to understand and a lot of fun stuff you will understand and love! Run BTS is a huge part of seeing who and how they are! But you will see as you go :) namjoon and tae are the non cookers… with rm he really is super clumsy and not good with stuff like that.. but he honestly would have helped all the time if they let him lol but bc he’s clumsy.. it was dangerous … and tae can cook but he just doesn’t like to lol so he said he can’t so he doesn’t have to.. he just never tried to learn. So it’s usually Jin w jungkook helping c suga with jungkook or jhope helping … or Jin and suga cooking together with jhope helping … but he does more helping set everything up, plating and getting the background stuff done too.. but hobi is always helping where he can and so is jungkook. It leaves the cleaning to rm v and jimin a lot of the time. Jimin makes ramyeon for them when they’re eating that ! So they all have their roles and suga and Jin never clean up really … so everyone helps in some way… they just kinda found their roles and stuck to what works for every one

They’re such family… taking advantage of your baby brother is about as brotherly as he could ever be … than the bigger brothers come give him crap about it which just makes him listen even less lol I mean look at him in his robe and headband 😂 you can’t stay mad at that. Taes one of the ones who seems to disappear when things need to get done lol but that’s part of his charm.. tae and jk both have this thing where the more they’re told to do something… the less they’re going to give in and do it lol jungkook just doesn’t have a choice bc he’s everyone’s little brother… and their culture just doesn’t really let that slide… especially jungkooks parents raised him like that… he’s super respectful , polite even when told he can speak casually… he even speaks formally to a lot of BTS a lot of the time. But honestly tae having that thing where being told makes him do it less… I have a feeling of the camera crew didn’t catch it and call the hyungs to confront tae about it.. he would have washed his face and came back out faster… them doing that just made him want to go against it lol that’s just how he is… it’s a maknae thing .. at least he let jk use his special new face wash lol and jk didn’t seem to mind

I always wondered how they did it so fast if they had to figure who took out who but didn’t even think that if all gestures were thrown then they cancel each other out. Makes way more sense now that it has to be only two gestures to begin the elimination part. Very cool

I am Asian and grew up in Hawaii... I've eat a whole hell of a lot of SPAM lol it is actually a very versatile "meat" product if you "allow" it to be LOL it can be many things... lol it's so great there is a SPAM fest in Hawaii ever year with actual Top Chefs making SPAM dishes! Honestly... the easiest dish you can possibly make with SPAM is a SPAM musubi! Thin cut spam, marinate it overnight with "soy sauce" aka "shoyhu" fry it and put it over a "bed" of rice with "sea weed" and you're all good!!! It's honestly the best thing EVER!

It's so funny to me that I have the exact same cotton hat that so many of them are wearing! I got it in San Francisco one time and liked it so much I ordered more off of amazon for my daughters.
