Love mail mondays! Also, a note about the BU– just want to make sure you guys know it is NOT necessary to learn about! It's a supplemental storyline for fans who enjoy fictional tales like that, but I would guess that most armys don't get into it. So it's just if YOU like fiction! If not, it's not necessary to enjoy the music.

IDEA Girl

Personally, I don't like it. They play fictional characters with their real names. It doesn't make sense to me. I don't like V stabbing his dad. Or JHope popping drugs. They're all messed up doing horrible things. It's your choice to watch or not. I dont think youd like it. I just watch all the videos no matter if there is BU content in it.

Thalia

The BU is part of BTS' body of work, I get not being comfortable with the graphic content but it's still a big part of their music. It doesn't seem like you understood what you were watching. The BU story directly deals with potentially triggering themes like suicide (Hobi 'poppin pills'), abuse, accidents, mental illnesses, and parental neglect (Tae's not stabbing his dad for funzies lol). None of these themes are treated lightly or trivialized, I'm sure they'll like it when they watch it.

haley!

Agree. It's not surface-level. There are meanings in each scene they choose to include (in typical BTS fashion nothing is as simple as it seems). There's a message they want the audience to take away from their videos and it's done in a beautifully complex, cinematic way.

If I sound rude i apologize but just like Thalia said, the BU is a big part of the guys work. I get it if you are not comfortable watching that kind of content but it’s more than just “ jhope popping pills “ and “ V stabbing his dad “ there’s a message they want to send , if you don’t like it that’s fine doesn’t mean they won’t too.

sahiba gill

there's a message behind everything though, you're just looking at it from a surface level understanding, which honestly is not justice to bts and their intelligence.

IDEA Girl

True. I hear you. CCW. You might like the BU. I shouldn't prejudge. Everyone gets to decide for themselves. I do however appreciate their hard work and artistic endeavor. The art direction and filming is amazing. I apologize. Please forgive me.

Oops. The Jin Ramen is not an official Hybe or BigHit merchandise. That company or any company that uses BTS's name without Hybe's permission can get into Big Trouble and be sued. Before each concert recently Hybe's legal team sends out a warning to be aware of any hyped up merchandise that Hybe does not endorse or approve of. Yes, there are Fake Army bombs out there. Creators can create their home products, but cant say they are from Hybe. So if for example that Ramen made you very sick you could not sue Hybe, but instead the company you mentioned who is USING Jin's name to make a profit. Believe me there are lots of unauthorized merch out there just like any other brand name has to deal with all over the world. I'm sure whomever sent the ramen probably didn't know. Hybe has an official email to report anything illegal. Especially Hateful rumors spread on YouTube and again illegal use of BTS's Intellectual Property. That Includes their name and picture. Photoshopped fake pics of them are on YouTube all the time. Hybe's reporting email. Protect@bighitmusic.co.kr Just so you know.

She seems not understand any of the messages BU talked about 😥. That's sad because HYYH and the BU help me alot with my mental health. BTS in the BU are 7 boys who had childhood trauma, which is as a result they experienced significant depression, anxiety, or anger (you can see in the short films and the MVs). That's why the BU relates to many young people who had mental health problems. It didn't lead me or other young people to the poor endings BTS had did in the MVs. It reminds people that childhood trauma and mental health issues are very IMPORTANT and they NEED to be considered more in the comunity 💜

Thalia

The ramen they got sent in the video is regular Jin Ramen. Jin Ramen is just one of the many Ottogi products. Jin did a collaboration with this brand, Jin coincidentally shares a name with the ramen label and it’s one of his favorites. He's now the brand's official ambassador https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_67c4X_vJbc The brand isn’t using his name and this is not unauthorized merch. I’m sure the ramen won’t make them sick as I’ve been eating it for years. You should try it some day it’s very yummy, it’s kinda sweet!

IDEA Girl

A Ramen idea. I like cooking the ramen. I only like aldente. BTS doesn't like mushy or over cooked ramen either. Then I drain the water not putting the broth packet in. And instead add cheese or Velveeta and make Ramen Mac and Cheese. I never use chopsticks. I use a fork and twirl it like eating spaghetti. So much easier. It is a thing where Koreans make the ramen with broth and add cheese. Or an egg. Or lots of veggies. So have fun creating your own recipes. I have even made ramen alfredo. And even add big chunks of rotisserie chicken! Yes. Eat CCW. Named after Eat Jin. I know. I know. The title words are inverted Korean style. It means eating with Jin. Why don't you view one of Jin's famous Eat Jin videos while you Eat CCW?? Remember I suggested a pajama party and live stream. Live stream means No editing. You send out an invitation. We all come with our food and drinks ready-made. You can chat with us via the live chat. We type. You answer live. Oh, and you must include potty breaks. Roscoe, a popular reactor, plays RM's "Bicycle" for potty breaks. I promise it's so fun!!! I've attended a 4 hour long live stream. We all watched BTS content that doesn't necessarily need reacting...like all their great commercials, their tourism ads, other funny videos that are short and compilations, and all current content like all the guys meeting up before JHope's military ceremony. So again, just an idea. How about a 100 day party or six month party? Just fun ideas. We WANT to see you slurp the ramen!

Alwena Willis

I have been eating Jin Ramen for years and laughed when I first heard Jin saying he would one day feature in their adverts and of course now he is their ambassador and their sales have gone through the roof. As a lover of Korean food I like it as it is meant to be eaten and maybe with the addition of some kimchi! Enjoy. The spicy is a bit too spicy for me and generally I eat mild. But it’s the ramen I like the best. Also I hope you got some Choco pies in your snack pack always a favourite! 💜💜💜💜

IDEA Girl

I didn't say it would make them sick. That was an analogy. I'm sure it's yummy. Thanks for the information I didn't know.

IDEA Girl

Thanks. Let's party on a Live Stream with them! While we watch them slurp ramen!

IDEA Girl

Pipi. Thank you for sharing how the BU helped you. And many other army experiencing childhood trauma. I just wished they had used other character names. Not their real names. That is just my opinion. Ironically, I suffer from childhood trauma and have been challenged with clinical depression triggered by my dad dying. I found a great doctor. And she prescribed me meds and therapy. She said I would be fine. And I was after many weeks. This happened 20 years ago. I'm still on meds and can choose more therapy when I require it. Clinical depression is highly treatable. That's why it is so sad Moonbin of Astro was just reported as committing suicide. The Most important thing is NOT to judge him. We have no idea what he was going through. So. I've been thinking about the BU. Maybe it triggered me. I didn't like looking at its reality because I faced some of it. I don't know. I think it's still valid to say I didn't like it. But I should not have spoken for CCW as to if they would like it. Again, I'm so glad the BU helped you and others. It is the reason BTS is so great. They love everyone. And understand we all go through challenges and they love and support us unconditionally. Thanks again for sharing your truth. You are very brave!
