I've wanted to tell you about some things Koreans do for a while now, finally remembered :D Maybe someone has already told you but anyways. 1) The sound they make - krrrhhh - you will hear it a lot! Koreans just do that a lot!! It can be made while expressing excitement, also frustration.. you will get used to it! 2) Also slurping noise while eating - that's in their eating culture. They just do that. The louder the better haha :D You will get used to it also :D 3) Koreans drink alcohol a lot. That's also basically in their culture. It is also considered impolite to, for example, decline a drink to an older person. Some Korean patreons could tell you more about this. But yes, just wanted to tell you it's deeply in their culture..

BTS did a Run BTS show where they built IKEA furniture it was hectic and hilarious at the same time. A must watch but it’s a later one so it may be a couple of years until you get to it. It’s one of my favourites. 💜💜💜💜

When they’re on the cruise and dancing to “Save me” the reason Jungkook keeps doing that same move is because that’s what Jimin did in the music video and the members found it funny and teased him about it. So it became one of their inside jokes and even to this day if you ever see them do that move they’re referencing that joke lol, just thought you guys should know because there’s a lot of references and inside jokes they do that the fans know as well, and it’s usually jungkook that’ll mock the members and reference the joke even years later lol

That wasn’t WAB: The Eternal. Jimin was humming/singing Epilogue: Young Forever. This was around the time The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever album came out, which is also why they’re playing Fire and Save Me so much. All three were the singles off the album.

Yeah, I was sad too the first time I watched this episode. To answer some of your curiosity, back then V didn't like alcohol, so he swipe the drink with coke. and about the songs played in the background that you mentioned, it was "coffee" and "butterfly". as far as I know, they can't take picture because of company policy, maybe it was for safety reasons or the photos could be spoiler to contents that haven't aired yet. anyway, I enjoyed your reactions as always, thank you~!

This episode brings back happy memories for me since I travelled on the Royal Caribbean Baltic Sea cruise (St Petersburg-Estonia-Helsinki-Sweden) 6 years ago. Thankfully, I was in the Grand Suite so I feel sorry for our boys staying in the inner cabins! BTS doesn't take photos with fans during filming since they don't want fans swarming to the locations they are at. Idols try not to take photos with fans during their personal free time since there've been instances where "fans" have sold "twisted" stories to the media. Also, imagine stopping every few seconds because a fan wants a picture with you, so I think that's why it's wise for them to say "important business". :D

At the end, where they did the group chant, Suga has a habit on not looking at the members. He said it before that he won't look because he knows that it won't be the last time they're doing that. Somewhat he gives an assurance to the fans that they are still together. ^.^

lol normally they do not take photos in public in case fans post it online and people follow them and know their location and get mobbed (this happened multiple times) so now many fans know they usually don't take photos there is exceptions like jungkook while he was at qatar he took photos with fans/staffs but usually they don't and we know that now so usually when fans see them in the streets/public and took pictures of them walking etc, they usually dont post it anymore online or they will post it hours/ days later after they leave the location to ensure their privacy

If they took a picture with someone while on a trip, the person could post said picture and their location would be found, so for safety reasons no picture

The song you really like was "Caramel Macchiato", it is on their second Album "O RU L8 2. You would love this album. Heavy Rap, Hip Hop and R&B. You should do a listening party. It is early BTS ( OG, old Skool BTS lol), but a favorite and it lives in my CD 💿 player in my car. O RU L8 2 and Dark and Wild are up there in my most listened to. I have a special place in my ❤ for early BTS because it's their roots and yes they have grown, but I thought they were great from the beginning. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Also, I think the reason they don't take pictures is for their safety, if people upload pictures of them online then some crazy fans could figure out their real time locations and they can get swarmed or stalked. Yeah securing locations is the number one reason; there are also a lot of less significant reasons that have popped up now and days(That might not have been as prevalent back then but might have had something to do with such a policy) companies want to make sure their Idols don't accidentally take pictures with the wrong person. For instance if an Idol takes a picture with someone they think is just a run of the mill fan but then they end up being an extremist or anti-suchandsuch. Then the person can post the photo with a caption like, "So glad there are still celebrities out their not afraid to support... 'x.y.z'" Which could get them in huge heap of trouble regardless of them not knowing at the time. Especially in Korea where people are kicked out of their groups if the rumors get loud enough.

FYI, there is a saying in ARMY: “If you see them, no you didn’t”. This pretty much means if you see any of the members out and about and it’s not an official schedule, then you leave them alone. Don’t follow, don’t take pictures, don’t approach for autographs, don’t invade their space. It’s a way the fandom can afford them a small measure of privacy while they are not in “work mode”. The company has put this in the fandom guidelines and the members themselves have spoken multiple times about appreciating when this happens. And recently, they’ve been more open about letting us know that they do not appreciate when lines are crossed (which, kudos to them for speaking out about this). They share so very much of themselves with their fans- not only giving us access to their daily lives, but also allowing themselves to be open and vulnerable when speaking with us, it’s only appropriate for us to honor their wishes. Unfortunately, as they’ve become more well-known, it is harder to keep people from invading their privacy, but it’s something ARMY (real ARMY) still try to give them- as much of a normal existence as we can.

Unlike western artists, or even any artist anywhere, BTS would rather be able to move through the world freely, so there is a general rule of no photos. Armys will never ask for photos or autographs and we share stories of making concerted efforts such as hiding merchandise if any member is eating nearby, so that BTS won’t feel any pressure to be “on.” They often figure it out and comment on Weverse thanking us for pretending not to recognize them. Yes it’s horrible how often people have crossed the line, poor Jung Kook was at his boxing trainer gym & a sasaeng ( crazy fan ) filmed him inside & they were there waiting for him outside, it scared him, he said this on his last live, said he was a human too, people tend to forget that, Tae also spoke out about when fans are buying tickets on the same flights as them that it was scary not to do that anymore, what’s said is these sasaengs get this private information and then sell it to fans, they I’m sure also pay to get this info. but they are also making money by doing this, it’s just sickening the things that happen to them, Tae is scared of airports because he was attacked by fans in Jeju when he had gone by himself for something, if you ever want to see how insane these so called fans are RNX, Dispatch, Newseen, & other channels will send photographers to the airport to film the Idols, not just BTS flying in and out of Inchon international airport.

No they are not allowed to take photos even on their own personal trips. I think it's also good HYBE has that policy. Keeps the boys safe and protects their privacy. There have been accounts of them signing autographs, especially in restaurants where they ate, but no photos.

Did you guys see the interview this week with the manager of Ahgassi Gopchang, their favorite restaurant in LA? She spoke about how when the guys go there to eat ARMYs just freeze. They don't scream, they don't approach, they don't take pictures. The interviewer was in disbelief. She said she found it moving how ARMYs (at least the ones at her restaurant) let them be and enjoy their meal in peace. I hate hate hate it when people mob or chase them. This interview however made me feel proud to be ARMY. That's real love.

Ah I really hate that b-sides have to get voted in before you'll listen to them. With the size of their discography that will literally take forever because they release new music faster than you've been reacting to them and you are missing out on so many gems. Like the first song (coffee) you guys noticed on this episode would probably never ever get voted in for any reason but it's still so good. Might I suggest you do full album reactions instead? Most of their albums are shorter than a BV or run episode so it's totally doable. You can do them chronologically like you've been doing the title tracks. Truly their b-sides are amazing and I suspect more your style so I really hope you can consider full album reactions!

I read an article about how Kpop idols don't usually allow photos taken but will sign autographs. One of the reasons was that antis can pose as fans and ask photos with them but post how they were bad or have an attitude or something like that when they met them. People will then believe their anecdotes because they have a photo with them as proof that they indeed met them. Kpop fandoms can be intense. 😁 Also these photos can sometimes be sold and real fans can be taken advantage by selling them at high prices. That's why they give out photocards in albums instead.

I agree, often some of my favorites on their albums are NOT the title tracks but the B-side songs. You really are missing a lot of great ones. I think full album reviews would be a great idea. Even if you had to break it up into several parts (which we wouldn't mind the length of doing it all at once) but if you felt like you didn't have the time to do it all at once break it up into segments of 3-4 songs in each part until you make your way through all of their music. And a great way of doing that is by pairing the albums that you go through with the era you are watching in the Rise of Bangtan series. That way you can witness what music they were making during all these different times in their lives and careers and why. Sometimes it makes it clearer why they did a song when you know what was going on with them during that time and pairing the albums with the ROB is a great way to do that.

The boys certainly don’t mind taking photos with people but it was purely company policy at the time since they were filming new content can’t have any spoilers in case ppl start posting their photos on social media for example. I believe this policy only applies if they are on an official work schedule with the whole group.

I figured. I upgraded to a different tier as well to gain more access. I really love how you guys react. This is actually my #2 when it comes to their content because it feels more raw and authentic, and Run BTS is my #1 cause it's funny and it reminds me of my friends and I (so competitive), and In The Soop is my #3, makes me feel like I'm on break as well (so relaxing to watch). Thank you for posting entertaining reaction videos. It helps keep me occupied while working.

I’m assuming RM had to go back because of visa issues. Depending on how long you’re staying in a country, you have to apply for a visa. I’m just assuming that his travel documents were fine if he didn’t need a visa but since they were gonna be in Finland for a longer amount of time, he needed a visa.

It's so much fun watching these again with you guys. Something I noticed and haven't seen anyone explain to you yet is why Yoongi doesn't look when they do the Bangtan cheer. As far as I understand, he promised he would look away from the group until it's their very last concert ever. Even at their Busan concert, he looked away and it was a huge comfort to Army to reassure us. Just thought you'd enjoy that little tidbit. He may look unbothered and not interested a lot of the time, but Yoongi is ALWAYS thinking of Army. We adore him right back! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I believe they don't take photos mostly because they are filming a content, and they don't want too many pictures leaked before it releases. You can tell they feel bad about refusing pictures from fans, but also, if someone uploads a picture with them on SNS, people nearby might try to find them and that could get dangerous and also make it difficult to finish filming. They're not being rude, just trying to keep things under-wraps as much as possible so they can finish what they need to do and move on. The song in the background that you were talking about while they were at the riverbank is called "Coffee". It's a B-side track from the album O!RUL8,2?. You've only been watching the title tracks so far, so you haven't heard it yet. But it's a really cute song.

I think Namjoon has lost his passport about a million times by now, I remember in 2017 when they went to Chile for their concert they took forever to get out of the airport, turns out Namjoon lost his passport, luckily someone from the airline found it in the plane.

when they do their bangtan cheer before shows and stuff like you saw, yoongi doesn't look, he never does. he promised us that the only time he will look is when it will be their last time being together(breaking up). i remember when i watched the busan concert they did the cheer and i looked at yoongi and his face was turned away. i cried so hard because that was all i needed to know that they will indeed be back because it was their last performance together till 2025.

They’re not allowed to take pictures with ppl when they’re on a trip for their safety. They were pretty popular in these areas at the time but social media wasn’t as crazy as it is now where ppl can post your photo and location in a second kinda thing…. But to protect the boys and the trip from turning into something more dangerous they were not allowed to take pics with ppl. This was a company rule… not the boys. It’s funny bc they really never took pics with ppl up until they started doing the solo work… ya know they’re all grown men now and jungkoook has taken photos with ppl places with fans or signed autographs if they don’t take photos or they ask them not to post the photo until later so they’re are no problems … but they seem to be more able to make those choices now… and jk and his huge group of friends called the 97liners bc I’m their culture age is a huge factor… but there’s like 9 of them from like 6-7 of the most famous K-pop idol groups that are all born in 97 that he’s friends with and they go out a lot to restaurants and always leave autographs and the location posts once they have all left … but yeh I think I saw maybe tae with a fan .. I can’t remember exactly… but yeh I feel bad for them bc they have to say no and that’s so awkward for them ya know… but “important business” was just something hobi said the first time they were recognized that I guess you didn’t see or missed bc it was when they were going to IKEA someone stopped hobi and jk and that’s what he said the first time lol that’s why he used it again here. They felt so awkward … but again in their culture… it’s not typical for people to come ask for a photo with you if you’re an idol … so it’s literally foreign to them lol poor babies .

Hi, I don't see other bon voyage episodes. Can anyone tell me where they are or how to watch them? I can only see ep 0 and ep 5.

Not taking photos is a policy that BigHit has for their artists. I recently saw a member of TXT explain the policy quite eloquently, but I wouldn't be able to repeat everything he said. Suffice to say, it is for the artist's own safety. Particularly in the case of Bon Voyage, since the episodes hadn't aired yet, they did not want word getting out to the larger fan base regarding where they were because it could have resulted in fans showing up to the location trying to find them. You would think people would know better, but ... there are way too many people who don't see the problem with following the members around because they are in a 'public place'. Even just recently JK had to stop going to his gym completely because he live streamed a boxing class there and people figured out just from the live stream where he was and showed up at the gym, and it was very uncomfortable for him.

the no taking pictures is because if the people posted the pictures immediately, fans would know and follow them around + it would give spoilers about which country theyre doing the show in. bighit tried really hard to keep malta and nz secret

Just like it is illegal for South Korean citizens to use drugs (even if those drugs are legal in the country they have traveled to) when they are out of country. Also, I know you haven't been exposed to a lot of their content or South Korean culture outside of the few BTS personality videos, but the South Korean drinking culture is pretty big. The most common drink you will see in k-dramas is Soju (which is about 20 to 40% ABV) drank in shots and Mak Ju (soju mixed with beer). All of the boys are comfortable with alcohol. I have really enjoyed rewatching these episodes with you and revisiting baby Bangtan <3 Look forward to the upcoming content (especially the Attack on Bangtan watch =) Young performer BTS hits so different when you look back; they were so hungry and incredibly driven. It is astounding but NOT surprising to see how far they've come.

So guys you unlocked a new bts inside joke the “ important business” and I think the company has rules of no taking pictures when they are shooting something i.e if they are on a schedule so as to not expose their current location but whenever bts goes outside alone in their personal time they do take pictures with fans especially jungkook has a lot of photos taken with fans even within Korea too

The phrase Important business is so commonly used that every army knows it. One even said it back to J-hope when he was filming some documentary. She asked for a picture but saw that J-hope was about to refuse her so she just went- "Important business? Ah okay" and moved on LOL

As sb who worked in immigration there are many EU countries where , first you ALWAYS have to have your passport on you (unless you are an EU citizen, that is why the boys bring the travel documents with themselves - tho my personal recommendation to have a copy of it with yourself not the original, leave the original back at the room).

Hi! I'm new to your patreon so I decided to watch all your old reaction videos and go in order. Someone might've said this already but for RM is really normal to loose his things, he is very clumsy so he always forgets his stuff. Also I'm from Sweden and in this episode they went to a place called Gamla Stan which basically means Old Town in English, its names old town cuz that's the oldest part of the capital and also where the town began before getting bigger. BTS had been there before for photoshoots so they went again to revisit old memories. :D Also at 42:00 when they do rock, paper and scissors , the gun thing V did with his hand is how they do scissors in South Korea, also they do count it is but in korean so I get that you missed it as it is really quick xD
